  I ask because no sane NPP "elder" would make such an irrational statement. The facts are that the NPP held elections and certain people won offices. For better or for worse, the party has to work with them. But they came to office with their own personalities, their individual personal complexes and their eccentric or divisive tendencies or a combination of all these factors.
  
  Does out "elder" want Akufo Addo to go and create these people ANEW, so that their programme and/or ACTIVITIES can be positive enough to unite the party?
  
  When did Akufo Addo get the power to create new human beings?
  
  Has our "elder" ever met Kwabena Agyepong personally? Or Afoko?
  
  I suggest to him to take a lorry and go to Accra and try to advise Kwabena Agyepong not to be so aggressive, abrasive and divisive. Then he would learn what Akufo Addo and the other leaders of the party have to put up with. And who saddled the party with Agyepong? Why not put the blame on that person who could not see an egotist consumed by paranoia, when one was presented to him?
  
  Anyway I repeat that I don't believe this "elder" exists or is authentic. He could well be the victim of impersonation by the NDC-purchased media.

  Nana Akufo Addo has failed his party in a grand style. The only way to show respect for the will of delegates who elected the leaders of a party is for all the elected leaders, as of necessity, to work as one team. Unfortunately, Akufo Addo is not thinking this way. He understands his mandate as the Flagbearer, and for that matter leader of his party, as more important than the mandate given to others. That is probably why he naively thinks he can mastermind the elimination of the elected chairman and the general secretary of the party and expect to have peace and tranquility in the party. If this were not his wish all that it would take to bring calm was for him to intervene and call all members of the party to work as a team.
  In all democracies, any action to rubbish the mandate of the people will end up in a lose-lose situation ie, without a winner. It was within the tenets of a healthy democracy to campaign against the election of any candidate, whether Paul Afoko, or Kwabena Agyepong or any other, before the eventual primaries. Of course before the primaries, every candidate, including Akufo Addo himself, had someone or some group campaigned against his/her election. However, after the delegates had spoken, the wise thing to do was to reconcile all the various factions behind one front to chart the cause of the party.
  The right person to lead this reconciliation action is Nana Akufo Addo but he has failed to do this. Instead, he has vowed to eliminate Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong at all costs because he perceives them as not coming from his camp. There is no national party in which there are not factions. Yet, Akufo Addo wants to reign over a one-nana-addo-faction NPP. The result is that, the NPP has been thrown into total confusion which already has seen the unnecessary loss of the life of Adam Mahama. Akufo Addo has failed and he must resign before more damage is done to the NPP.
