Their first congress at Achimota was to destabilized the ruling Government and to sabotage, and this led Mohammed Bawumia`s father the late Dr. Mumuni Bawumia who was before merged with U:P a Northern Region Peoples`Party flagbearer to leave the U.P. The U.P activities in Ghana in the 60s was killing of innocent citizens and supporters of CPP, this killings mainly took place in the Ashanti region and other part of the country, Kululungu bombs attack on the life of the president in the Upper West region of Ghana, and also numerous of attempt to assassinate the elected president of Republic of Ghana was their motive. So you should all know that what is being taken place in NPP was not new, its an old tradition way back in the 60s.
