Akufo-Addo must stop faking a Peace-Maker. If he had ever considered and meant to court unity between the NPP Factions, he would not have waited this long to call for it.

Moreover, he is making the call at a time when he had induced the suspension of the Chairman and Secretary-General of the Party on, ostensibly, mere speculations and the loud screaming of misled mob--an exponential deviation from legal propriety and commonsense.

Akufo-Addo is no doubt quietly enjoying the success of his Camp in causing the suspension of Afoko and Agyepong. At the very least, he hopes to capitalize on the situation to play the Peacemaker, even if Public outcry eventually brings the two back to Office.

In reality, however, as close observations show, Akufo-Addo's ideal and initial goal has always been to get the two completely out of his way and not involved in his campaign efforts. Period!!

If folks, from across the spectrum of our Political landscape, had not lashed back at the NPP Elders and the Regional Chairmen for the illegality and coercive suspension of the two Officials, Akufo-Addo would never have come forward to call for Unity.

Surely, he needed Unity in the Party to win in 2016. But he had always believed in the crude, brazen and conceited claims by his minions that he could win in 2016 without the other faction in NPP because Mahama's NDC might never recover from the mess they have put the Nation in.

Largely, it is the Public reaction to the unconstitutionality of the suspension imposed on the two that is compelling the NPP Flagbearer to consider this fake Olive Branch approach. Nana realizes, now, his opposition on the National front, the NDC, especially, would use this by-pass of the rule of Law in NPP in constraining Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong to campaign against him as being intolerant and unfaithful to the very principle that he claims he has championed all his Political life, the prevalence of Rule of Law.

He is now also realizing a backlash from the blatant assault on President Kufuor, among others, by his camp, especially, from the Ashanti Region, the bastion of NPP Electorate.

So, let's see how he proceeds from this point. Would he offer any apology to President Kufuor for the untoward behavior of his supporters who have accused the former President of being part of the Murderous plot that took Mahama Adams' life?

I bet Nana is too arrogant to show that humility. He might be advised against such a move because it could well be 'misinterpreted' that he, Nana, approved of the accusation to begin with. However, any astute Politician with a larger heart and fairer mind would easily hop over that hurdle and offer the apology that would be more effective as a conciliatory tool.

At this point, President Kufuor may personally present a more genuine conciliatory gesture for the Party to stay together. But the Supporters of the former President are more likely to retain their anger for a longer while, until they see more genuine signals of remorse from the NPP flagbearer.

It must be also pointed out that there is a greater likelihood that some of President Kufuor's followers would never support Akufo-Addo's campaign for 2016 win. These most recent developments might have pushed them further from the Presidential aspirant than ever before. They would, at best, vote for NPP's Parliamentary majority, and not for the Flagbearer in 2016.

So, now, let us see what Nana's 'Goebbels', Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr. and his co-ill-advisors like Amoako Baah would offer the NPP Flagbearer to help clear the mess in the Party.

This man failed for not addressing the €2.2million loan, he failed for not addressing the wrangling between his camp and koffours camp, this are camps you formed which are hanting you today. If Akofo addo is a good leader he would have condemn the osafo marfo statement and many other discrimination statement the NPP has made which has made them unpopular. Akofo addo should know that he did not win last election even with the support of all his team and he cant win next election with this division. NDC is seriously developing the rural areas where there are more votes so stay in your Kumasi and Accra and make case out of dumso, we will see what u will use to campaign when the light is fixed come December
