It is said that 1 kilometer of asphalted two lane road costs $400,000 in Ghana which is far in excess of costs in neighbouring countries. Assuming that the runway is 4 times as wide and only 500 meters long that should be $800,000. Assuming that the runway had a base of reinforced concrete similar to American highways that should put the total cost at not more than $1.5 million dollars. Labor costs are 20 times cheaper in Ghana.

This is totally outrageous.

A young man named Buhari received a parrot as a gift from Maiduguri. Problem was, the parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird's mouth was rude, obnoxious, and laced with profanity. Buhari tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to "clean up" the bird's vocabulary, but to no avail.
Finally, Buhari was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. Buhari shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even more rude In desperation, Buhari threw up his hands, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed.
Then suddenly, there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute.
Fearing that he'd killed the parrot, Buhari quickly opened the door to the freezer. The parrot calmly stepped out onto Buhari's outstretched arm
and said, "I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I am sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior."
Buhari was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude. As he was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the bird continued.
"May I ask what the chicken did?

NDC corruption has brought Ghana to our present predicament. The amount of state money NDC and Mahama stole to run the 2012 election campaign is still dragging Ghana backwards.

Kuffour did well in restoring Ghana image on the international scene after Rawlings years of economic stagnation, now the NDC another Rawlwlings legacy has started back down that same backwards trend that characterized the Rawlings days.

The problem with NDC is the they are middle class folks from backgrounds that are not well off financially and these people see politics as the only means to get rich like other rich people in the society.

Every single NDC or PNDC folk who is rich now got rich by means of politics. From Rawlings down to Mahama. None of them come from rich families. I am sorry but that is a fact. But look at Rawlings and Mahama's lifestyle. These people behave like billionaires.
