I have always believed that every region ought to have a local airport but $23 million for a runway is totally outrageous.

It is said that 1 kilometer of asphalted two lane road costs $400,000 in Ghana which is the highest in West Africa. Assuming that the runway is 4 times as wide and only 1 km long that should be $1.6 million dollars. Assuming that the runway had a base of reinforced concrete similar to American highways that should put the total cost at not more than $4.5 million dollars. Labor costs are 20 times cheaper in Ghana.

Guns, apart from hunting rifles, have very few legitimate uses. Usually restricted to law enforcement and military, as they should be.

If Ghana wants to be an industrialized nation, the industries needs easy access to acids (and lots of other chemicals). Restricting access to acids would be counterproductive.

Why are people allowed to sell acid as if it's an ordinary substance. Ghanaian MPs are all useless, and they are drawing huge salaries too.

Acids are an ordinary substance. Your stomach contains acid right now. Common fruit contains acid, soft drinks contain acid, cars(batteries) cant even function without acid.

Mensah should take an hour or a day to study chemistry instead of cowering in fear because he thinks acid is black magic.

The only way this crime can be stopped is those who commit such crimes be made to suffer the same pain of disfigurement and pain of acid burn. Prison is no deterrent
