Professor Agyeman Badu Akosah, Chairman for the occasion said it is necessary for Africans to come together as one body to fight towards achieving development.

He said it is very wrong for people who are poor in the country to think they have no power and strength especially the right to make suggestions to the development of their various communities.

“To me, over 80 per cent of Ghanaians live below the bread line, but such huge number of people can stand up and speak for their financial, physiological, education and health freedom,” he said.

He said Africans must unite if they want to be economically and politically independent and developed to reduce poverty in the continent.

please tell our leaders to go and watch the documentary entitle "the world according to Monsanto" maybe that will open their eyes about what GMO is all about. profiteering, killing of the local farm produce. we in Ghana are not starving, we are not hungry. we eat pure organic food not food grown in labs and animals grown in labs. the consequences of it. we cannot even take care of our sick let alone having the technology to combat the diseases that GMO creates. simply watch the documentary on line and then decided. Forget about the money they give you to allow it into the country. that money will finish, you will get sick, your family members, friends etc and you will die because you can not afford the medication that the same GMO companies will produce to cure you.
the white people here in the west envy we the africans because we don't get sick,. i came here with 32 teeth in my mouth but now i have only 28. all i did was went to the dentist for cleaning and they lied and talked me into coming in every 6 months. now i have become part of the human plantation. yes that is what they do here, client for life.

Pollen from the GMO crops can spread (via wind, bees, birds, etc..) and pollinate non-GMO crops. It took Canadian farmers many years and expensive legal fees to overcome Monsato's control. According to Monsato, any plant with its patented design belongs to Monsanto whether the crop originated from Monsato seeds or not. Farmers who are not buyers of GMO seeds yet have crops contaminated with GMO pollen from other farms must forfeit profits derived from those crops to Monsanto.

Mr Sekou Nkrumah, a member of the CPP said nothing should stop Africans from fighting to achieve unification and liberalisation.

He said the party is not pleased with the fact that Ghana has many minerals and food items, and yet import these products as the country suffers and struggles to survive.

He said the party does not agree with the 1992 Constitution especially, the part that talks about privatisation of industries.

“This is because most private entities in the country are owned by foreign bodies and not the natives”, he said.

He said Africans should not only use a day during the year to think of liberation but to struggle every day for it.

He quoted the words of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, First President of the Republic that “Africa needs a new type of citizen, a citizen who is honest, modest, and dedicated to support national interest and humanity, a citizen who detests greed and vanity, and one whose humility is his/her strength and integrity is his/her greatness”.

In fact billions of dollars of research have produced GMO crops that have essential vitamins that original crops lack. The GMO's can be designed to grow in arid and hot climates and in salty soils. Moreover the leaves can be designed to include insect killing chemicals that save farmers money in producing quality crops.

In the next few years homes will buy Tesla and LG power walls of 10Kwatts and with 5 kilowatt solar panels provide all their electricity needs
off-grid.

NDC government is wise to sell the ECG while it still has some value and support farmers yeilds and income GMO's.

Go to their office with problem and you would get the frustration you want. Illegal connection is normal operation all over. Some of the workers bypass electric power meters. They connected some companies and individual illegally. Comparing ghanatelecom to current vodafone where we opposed, privatisation is good for ecg. Ecg need to be restructured human resource, material and financially. The whole metering system must change using mordern technology to track and get dedicated personel behind to acts promtly. If several transformers(i:e84) can get missing in the warehouse how can we entrust them to turn it company around?

Electricity....electricity.....electricity Company of Ghana synonymous to useless, efficiency and careless. I dont think any person who is serious minded will advocate government keeping it. The telecom sector is there to see. From management to the labourer dont work but take fat benefits. In the mist of this "dumsur" they have insulated their residential properties from the schedule like they dont know there is something like customer relations.
