I have always believed that every region ought to have a local airport but $23 million for a runway is totally outrageous.

It is said that 1 kilometer of asphalted two lane road costs $400,000 in Ghana which is the highest in West Africa. Assuming that the runway is 4 times as wide and only 1 km long that should be $1.6 million dollars. Assuming that the runway had a base of reinforced concrete similar to American highways that should put the total cost at not more than $4.5 million dollars. Labor costs are 20 times cheaper in Ghana.

Namibia to learn from Ghana or Ghana to learn from Namibia? What a shameful statement that will make Great Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah spin in his grave today.

I remember very well how Ghana political and material support to Namibia under the leadership of Sam Njoma her first President to help them become independence just some few years back.

It's therefore so pathetic that Ghana of all countries, the first independence country South of the Sahara today at 58 years belittle herself to go learn from the younger independent inexperience countries, Nambia. Instead of leading we are tracing behind.

What happen to all the great and visionary ideas of our founder Osagyafo Kwame Nkrumah which once made us proud country and people?

Instead of Ghana being a demonstrative powerful country socially and economically for young Africa independence states to follow, we are shamelessly tracing behind the yesterday's independence countries.

Does these ignorantly inexperienced government seriously think about what they do to the country diplomatically, when they go begging and copying anything?

It is hugely pathetic the criminally corrupt Mahama led bigotry government selling our birth rights.

We certainly need a change come 2016.
