Flagbearers come and flag bearers go but the interest of the party is supreme. Members owe their loyalty to their party, not the flagbearer. I didn't support Nana in the 2010 Presidential Primaries but I voted for him because I wanted an NPP govt led by a leader from NPP. That is the principle. The sooner Nana and his supposed die-hards understand this principle, the better for all of us.

It is time the IGP gives stern warning to Police Commanders to be very resolute to Party apparatchiks, who see the Police as objects for manipulation and threats. It is worse the further you travel away from Accra. I remember the Northern Regional Minister going to threaten the Regional Commander in Tamale in 2009 and even came to the Accra to ask for his removal. Both NDC and NPP are equally guilty of this behavior. Any issue in which their members are involved is a no go area for the police. We cannot build a country like that. How can a Regional Party Chairman go and misbehave himself in front of a Police Regional Commander and go scot free just because of politics? We are weakening our institutions especially the Police Service. Kwabena Agyapong from his own political consideration had no option than to beg for the non-arrest of the late Adams. We need to draw lessons from this. Unfortunately it is the same police that would come to your assistance in times of need.

Secondly, the mistrust of these two executives is not borne out of specifics but on theories and that is very immature on the part of Nana and his die-hards.

Always remember that the biggest loser in all this racket will be Nana Addo. If he does not act like a mature politician and control his loyalists, he will write his political obituary in December 2016. All the noise and rubble-rousing in the party started from his men. He has never declared his support or readiness to work with Afoko and Agyepong and that is a fact. The barring of Agyepong and Afoko from the party office was instigated by him or on his behalf and we all know it! That in itself is cowardice and not a mark of a true leader.

Come on, Sarpong! Agyapong is vilified and even accused of being behind the Adams murder, and you want him to simply shut up and be dumped upon lies and ill-will? After all he did not come out with his story as soon as the wild speculations of his perceived incrimination began circulating.

Why did some of you request that he stepped down, then? You cannot smother someone physically and mentally like that!! If Adams is not around to defend himself, it does not mean Kwabena cannot let his version of any encounter with the deceased that many have been drawing wrong conclusions from cannot be told.

Death hurts family members and loved ones. We understand. But the truth must be told even though sometimes it hurts, too. Kwabena gave his account citing witnesses to some of the events capturing those encounters. If anyone has anything contrary, they are free to contest his account. Meanwhile, even before the Law Enforcement could finish their investigations into Adams' murder, you guys had already prejudged Kwabena and Afoko and subjected them to punitive treatments of all kinds, and been irrationally holding them responsible for the murder.

Is that how you find justice in any Democratic environment? "Mpaninfuor se, se w'ankasa wotiri ho a, ye yi wo ayi bone" ('If you fail to give verbal guidance to how your hair-cutting should go, or is going, you end up with a shoddy haircut'). Sarpong, you know better than that.

The emotional burden on the family of the deceased would not be dissipated with less discussions on it. And we should not kid ourselves that it would only take the silence of Kwabena Agyapong on the issue to diffuse any grief the family of Adams are enduring. The nature of this gruesome murder has that natural attribute of lingering for a while. It would have to run its own natural course. We cannot force to erase it from people's memories and conversations.

So, give Kwabena a break! As the investigations proceed, it could even come to a point that he and Afoko would have to testify in Court. It is only for that reason that I would caution any of them to be mindful of what they say in Public, in the absence of a Lawyer. Even though none has been charged yet, if they give any account in Public, and it turns out that any other account they later give in Court(should the case demand that), be any different from what they said in Public, it could complicate issues for them.

Other than that, they must not be muzzled for fear of tormenting the family of the deceased.

Be careful my friend, because pride comes before fall. What shall it profit Nana Akufo-Addo and his allies in the NPP if he acquires all the power in the party and lose in the 2016 General elections? Politics is about numbers and the best he can do is declare his support for Afoko and Agyepong, draw them closer so he can monitor their activities instead of acting on hearsay by his selfish and greedy friends.

I don't think his idea for offering his version in the case was intended to blame the dead. If anything at all, it would be for saving his own life. You and I know that many a youthful exuberance often leads some to take the Law into their own hands without any prior instigation by anyone. And yet, folks that hate the guts of Kwabena Agyapong, raced to blame him for the Murder of Adams. The rush to suspend him and Afoko testifies to the premeditated scheme to remove them before any Court indicted them. These folks did their best to pronounce them guilty in the Public Opinion. "Mma wo wirenfi: 'Se nimo antumi wo a, etete wontoma.'" (If embarrassment or Public recrimination doesn't destroy you fully, it may well render you in tatters). In this case, the punt could be intended.

Besides, since when did Kwabena Agyapong become a mole for NDC, or a clandestine collaborator of that Party in NPP? To charge that he is working for his 'paymasters in NDC' is all the more worrying reason why he ought to straighten the stories flying around everywhere to tarnish his reputation and endangering his life.

It is most unfortunate that you want him to keep quiet but then you are adding more charges to his plate that he is NDC paid agent. How would you respond to such a wicked, dangerous allegation if you were in Kwabena's shoes? Remain mute? "Se eye wo a, anka wobetena ho ama yede wosekan Adwa Onanka?" (Would you sit there aloof for others to use your knife to skin the Puff Adder--a snake?)

This is where the leadership comes in. And I know you would find it difficult to understand it, too. This is the time Akufo-Addo had to Publicly show closer relationship with Kwabena and Afoko. And in the end, even if they are indicted, the Flagbearer would, then, not be tainted with any initial plot to push them out but seen as a leader that wanted unity and best for NPP.

The healing in NPP is more important than any notion of the NDC benefitting from the fallout of this crisis. If the healing proceeds well, the NDC would have nothing to whip the NPP with. This is because the NDC has more issues that all the Nation is endlessly worried about. All it takes is a little genuine Peace in NPP to cause an accelerated effervescence of NDC's woes back to the surface.

However, the more anyone tries to suppress Kwabena Agyapong and Afoko, the more curiosity is generated on the case and the leadership doubts about Akufo-Addo. The earlier reach at the bottom of the crisis, the better for NPP because it would have time to recuperate fast. If any part of the case is subdued, it would fester and breed continued disenchantment in some camp.

Sarpong, this is not a child's play for an advice. And it is not intended for the enjoyment of any advantage of the NDC or any other Party. Folks must let their emotions settle to think more deeply on this issue to help them get their hands around it firmly. Maybe, that better shows you where I stand, in response to your earlier outburst on my position. I do not claim to be an enigma. I just value our lives equally and tend to draw reasonable balance that helps the truth reign. Polarization has harmed Ghana a lot. It is only by abiding by the truth, as supported by empirical evidence, that Ghana can shed needless animosity to sustain a healthy Democracy and progress.

So, assuming Kwabena even personally poured the acid on Adams, but the real story had been that the deceased had attacked Kwabena and Kwabena reacted to kill him, Kwabena wouldn't have to tell what really happened because that would appear insensitive? What kind of logic is that? It is not like Kwabena has been proven to have anything to do with the Murder, anyway. Nor, was he gleefully narrating his story with giggles and smiles.. Give the guy a break!!

You seem to have assumed that Kwabena Agyapong has something to do with the Murder of Adams, that is why you are towing the vengeance angle. Nobody, not even Kwabena Agyapong, has said that Adams brought his death unto himself. Far from that. You may have to read his account again. It is preposterous for you to imply Kwabena somehow, by his account, is justifying the Murder of Adams. All Kwabena Agyapong tried to do by given his account is clear the air of any suspicion of his involvement in the Murder. That is all.

But if you guys would conveniently split hairs to find some fringe loose ends to further incriminate him with, go ahead and have fun with it. That is what you intended to do from the very first day he assumed office as the General-Secretary, anyway--to find some egregious fault with him to use that to kick him out. All you guys are doing is organizing a mob discontent with which to claim Kwabena is not wanted in his position. But he won the elections to get there, and you did not even give him a day to work freely as was expected.

Kwamena Agyepong by his position as the general secretary of the most powerful opposition party in the country is expected to exhibit some decree of wisdom, brilliancy and experience to stop the childish blame game.

His one sided story here is like two school boys caught in a fight and each one trying to please the teacher to be right and that the other is wrong, that is not what the broken party need now. After all we are still mourning the late regional Chairman and must think about the grieving family.

I strongly propose ethical and social orientation training for our politicians especially, NDC and NPP operatives to safe Ghana's peaceful democracy.

Since when did 'unprintable' insults against Politicians become offenses for which folks could be arrested in Ghana?

I wish the exact insults would be published for the rest of to know and refrain from using them. I thought we had seen the worst of insults on Politicians everywhere in Ghana. The former President, Kufuor, and the incumbent President, Mahama, have received their share of those insults. Why are folks not arrested for those insults on these leaders? Unless those 'insults' included any threat to Akufo-Addo's life, such an arrest would be questionable. I wonder if the Police took that action voluntarily, or they were induced or complained to, by someone to take that action. It may interest the Public to know under which Law in our Constitution that the arrest was made.

Is this because the insults were rained on Akufo-Addo and not someone else? I hope the Police is not bending over their heels to accord Akufo-Addo any preferential treatment. His life and self-worth are not any more important than those of the rest of us. And our Laws must be applied equally to all. Someone's freedom of Speech could be violated by that arrest.

Isn't such an arrest similar to any that would have led Nkrumah to incarcerate his opponents? We must be very careful how we rush to send folks to jail. Why can't Akufo-Addo file a civil suit against these offenders? And would that demand an immediate arrest of the perceived culprits?

Folks, if this is how our Law Enforcement Agencies are going to be led to treat us, then we better worry about Akufo-Addo's Presidency, really. He has NOT won the election to be our President, yet, and this is how we are treating people who verbally offend him. What if he eventually becomes the President? I guess folks would not even be able to blow their nose in his direction. They might be shot on the spot, huh?

Making a tin-god of Akufo-Addo would not help the NPP or the Country. In fact, any dubious quest by his supporters, or himself, for Presidential treatment and more, at this time, before he ever rises to be a President, could whittle much of his charm. The charm would turn into sheer fear of him, enough to despise.

2. From your story, it looks as if those who pour acid of late Mahama acted on you and Afoko's behalf. Though you and Afoko didnt do it directly. What do you think

To me the beset and sensible thing for you and Afoko to do if only two of you love NPP and want NPP to win 2016 is to resign because of the acid case and expecially with Afoko's brother being arrested as a prime suspect. If it happens that Afoko's brother is found guilty, NDC will use it against him and for that matter NPP.

I agree with you Kwabena that yes the people in NPP voted for you and Afoko and your term has not ended but two of you presence will never bring unity and also rally more supporters expecially in the north for NPP.

You and Afoko can get any position you want after NPP victory. Dont fool yourself and stick to power and disorganize the party.

3. You and Afoko can also be at post by showing respect and humble your self. There is too much aroganse, disrespect and stupidity on your part which you dont know but we can see. Sorry for my harsh words but it is true Kwabena just humble yourself simple. You are a nice gentleman please.
