Obviously we can all see the huge false egos being paraded by the NPP leadership. No one wants to yield to a common cause. . How can God help right a situation when the warring parties are still at each others throats? We have free will, and that can never be take away from us, not even by God. For that reason alone, God will not interfere unnecessary. It depends on the warring factions to work towards peace only then can God's intervention be possible.

Remember Allan Kyeremanteng even withdrew from the NPP over allegations of Nana Addo hounding out perceived Allan supporters from NPP primaries in 2008. Remember the preferential treatment Allan was given when he commandeered a Ghana Military aircraft to Wa to scuffle a meeting of one of the NPP presidential contestants. Both sides have done equal measure of harm to each other. After the NPP won in 2000, an NDC MP redicted that the NPP would go on to win in 2004, but their problems will surface after the second term of Kuffour, when the Akyem faction would also assert their themselves, to which some ambitious Ashantis would not agree. This is exactly what is happening. The solution, a compromise candidate say from the North, in 2020, as 2016 may be slipping through their hands yet again. Agenda 2020 is bound to fail if Nana Addo opts for "you do me I do you" tactic. The NDC after John Mahama may also be having succession problems of their own. Remember Swedru declaration.

But all that is History now. Nana is a victim of circumstances and I don't envy him. The confusion that is raging in NPP now, is self-afflicted and can only be self-resolved. In other words, they themselves are the ones harbouring “the demons of confusion” in their heart. As long as they fail to realise this and expect some miracle such that they will wake up one bright morning to see the confusion vanish, the confusion will be long and deep.

When I presented a similar solution as a comment to a related Article, I was bludgeoned by a host of incorrigibly rigid opinionated supporters of Akufo-Addo. Justice Sarpong led the pack.

I strongly favor this approach as the only real effort to quickly bring unity back into the NPP. It is so disappointing that in this day and age some seemingly enlightened members of NPP would be so intolerant and averse to any constructive criticism of its leadership, especially, under Akufo-Addo that they would rather see the critics of the Flagbearer ostracized.

It is very unhelpful to keep dumping all the Party's current woes on Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong, while no one could pin-point exactly what the two have done wrong. The so-called 'Agenda 2020' that most Akufo-Addo minions have been accusing the two of hatching exists only in the speculative minds of the accusers. And yet, these Nana Addo folks have clung unto that as a hammer that Agyapong and Afoko have already raised, poised to strike Nana's dream dead.

I can only see paranoia and insecurities driving the hatred against the two. It is incumbent upon Akufo-Addo to lead the reconciliation effort by doing, at least, exactly what KSM has suggested, if he really wants to see the Party recover in time for his election in 2016.

There should be leadership initiative in humility to apologize to all offended by emotionally-consumed members of the Party accusing some of its leaders of being Murderers without proof.

Alleging that someone is a Murderer is the deepest you could sink that person into trouble and public discontent.

No one in their right mind would expect that the publicly humiliated accused person and all who follow him would rush to give the accuser and his political camp the support the latter group might need to win an election, obviously.

This is why a timely apology to President Kufuor and others on behalf of Kennedy Agyepong and his temperamental clique who insulted the former President soon after the Murder occurred would be a good thing to do by Akufo-Addo.

In fact, I said elsewhere that the Press Conference Speech Nana made was useless, if he had not made any formal prior contact with President Kufuor to apologize to him personally, or did not intend to do so immediately after the Speech.

I hope the NPP flagbearer would, for once, show real humility to reach out to those he and his faction have long viewed as internal foes and continued to alienate.

The Good Old Book Akufo-Addo's faction is alluding to be relying upon in this 'Fasting and Prayers' session has said that: "Whatever you bind on Earth, would be bound also in Heaven, and whatever you loosen on Earth would also be loosened in Heaven" (my paraphrase) Matthew 18:18.

The 'Fasting and Prayers' themselves would not yield the expected results. There must be proactive actions that would have to be taken by the Party to allow the wishes in the Prayers to occur.

Fasting is the most powerful spiritual discipline for every Christian in situation like this. Many a time we are our own demons. Like you rightfully stated, our EGOS, if we can seek the face of God and ask for help through fasting, our prayers will be heard.
In the Bible there is no age limit for fasting. From the Old Testament to the New Testament. What Akufo Addo needs to do as a leader is go on his knees and fast at least from morning to noon for a week. The fasting would cause his health, it would rather strengthen him.
During this period, NPP should confess their sins to the Lord not to man, because we are all sinners. And I believe the good Lord will answer their prayers.

Box on Senior. Fasting is good at all ages. The mode and duration differs accoding to ones ability. There a lot of ense in this free advice and it takes a humble heart to accept such words of sidaom.

I agreed with the npp when they opposed the suggestion of prayers for the strengthening of the cedi against the dollar by a pastor. Surprisingly, the npp is crucifyiing ksm for a stance similar to what they took. Hahahaha

These ignorant Pastors are killing our folks sometimes they will tell all church members to fast not even taking their health and age into consideration.How on earth will you tell somebody who diabetic to fast do you want to kill that person.Every diabetic person is supposed to eat something at least every 3 to 4 hours in order not drop their blood sugar levels because when it drops it can be fatal.This is killing several people in Ghana because they do not even know they are diabetic or even have BP.Also why will you tell a 70 year man to fast come on think about this.Recently a very popular nice woman Auntie Philo Yeboah died in Sunyani because her sugar dropped and when they rushed her to sunyani hospital it was already tooo late why will you allow this to happen.Our folks need to be well educated on BP and Diabetes especially the Pastors.When one dies they then blame it on the innocent sister or the old lady.Wake people.
