I can't believe today is exactly 36years since the Abonsam fireman, son of Lucifer JJ Rawlings burst on the scene to push our country into the doldrums. 36years and this buffoon called Togbui Kwashivi Avuukoklo Rawlings is still meddling in our affairs. The bastard have an insatiable need and urge to be in the news and limelight as if he is the one in charge, ordering ministers and even vice-president around.

It very clear to me that if Ghana had discovered commercial quantity of oil during his rule, this power addict will have found ways to do away with term limit and stay on for ever. And surprisingly he would have the stupid enablers to let him hang on.

Just go away Julo Jato Rawlings. 36 years and running we are tired of reading and hearing of you. Let no fool go out there to celebrate that catastrophe day called June 4th. 1979 to date is too long to still be in the news. You are the worst thing that happened to Ghana in the last 50years if you ask me. Get lost and let Mahama shine instead of always trying to take spotlight away from him. Shut the fuck up. The flyover that John Mahama said he is building at circle, did he factor in it's effect on flooding and what did do with respect to the drainage system and it's construction first and foremost, knowing the flooding situation around the Kwame Nkrumah Circle area? Because the intensity of the floods especially around where the Goil station was engulfed in fire from the leak as it is being reported was unusually heavy.
So did the Mahama NDC gov't factor all these before deciding to construct that flyover, and is there a drainage system around the flyover which has been constructed and carrying flood water away from Kwame Nkrumah Circle?
The Goil fire was from the flooding and a leak forming an oil or fuel in water emulsion which then triggered the inferno leading to the death of over 100 Ghanaians and still counting.
However, the flyover, lack of drainage system around that flyover, leading to the flooding and mixed up with the leak from oil and fuel from the Goil filling station triggered the fire. The spark could have come from lightening.

Yes, investigate the Goil fire/explosion by all means. Some people will get allowances out of it, won't they? Then shelve their report!
Especially if it uncovers neglegence and/or corruption.

Got instance: Who gave the permit for the Goil station to be constructed in an area where there are scores of residences and shops? What fire extinguishing facilities are required as a compulsory apparatus that every fuel station must have? Are they ever inspoectyed, oif tghey exist?

Somehow the flood water entered the underground fuel storage tanks at the Circle Goil filling station to displace the stored fuel. This means Goil management failed to properly secure the underground oil storage tanks. The fuel oil being less dense than water, floated on top of the raging flood waters. All surviving eye witness accounts state that the fire disaster was ignited downstream of the Goil station. This implies that the fuel oil storage tanks were not air-tightly sealed. The lesson learnt here is that Safety Protocols and public education must be strictly enforced at all Gas stations, LNG depots, Commercial, industrial and domestic gas installations, etc across the country.
