Accra needs a proper sewer system. Proper covered underground drains to prevent people from dumping rubbish into them. The laws also have to be enforced to prevent people from building on waterways.

I did witness the massive flood at the Ga West area,in fact it was Horrible. Demolition of the houses around that area is a good idea. And the gutters need to be reconstructed well for easy passage of the water.
You've all started your ignorant and retrogressive comments, and mob mentality strategies.

When you disturb the natural balance so that the pendulum swings violently to the one side leads to disasters such as the Accra floods. Ghana is not the only country that experiences this. Flooding is unavoidable natural phen ...

POLITICS, GREED AND CORRUPTION ARE DESTROYING ACCRA!

I have a problem with the people in Accra. One who sale the land. Two who give the permit. Where are the town planning at that time. Look for those people and arrest them because they are the problem.
Solo,we are talking of Africa officials and for this matter Ghana offcials where irresponsibility and corruption is in their DNA.God help us.
its not about demolishing. all its about is putting officers who gave permit on their toes. they were put out there to prevent and not to cause. the officers must be made to face the music too.
is wrong to just rush and do the demolishing exercise now. have a dialog with those who will be affected and agreed on something before embarking on the demolishing. anything less of my suggestion would be equal to what happe ...
