IT was wrong for the mayor of Accra Metro, to claim that his Administration has failed the people of Accra,instead he must emphatically say that the ministry of Finance has contributed by and large to the failure of the people of Accra for delaying the release of 500 million dollers facility granted by the Exim bank of America to dredge the Odaw River in the epicenter of the catastrophy that engulfed parts of Accra.Why should the Ministry of Finance delay the facility which does not directly comes from the country,s resorces.To me and many concerned Ghanaians,the Ministry of Finance must be blamed and charged for the huge and monumental destruction of property and claiming of dear lives of many Ghanaians.The Govt must react to the Mayors claim and should immediately release the said facility to avoid further destruction ahead of the rainy season in the country.

Also, we need to see taller buildings around the circle area when the place is rebuild, may be gov't offices complex or hotels or banks, to avoid squatters accidently setting fire with wee and cigarette butts. In the States, one doesn't mess around certain hours in the down town area because of frequent police patrol. It's about time Circle area be declared as part of Accra business district.

The whole NDC government have failed miserably but still have no shame and try to apportion blame to all Ghanaians.
