  You all need to shut up! You are the problem, and truth be known many of us were not prepared to be civilized. The British should have stayed to tame us some more. It is not only buildings on water ways that need to be demolished. I have seen houses build right smack in roadways and it has become almost impossible to bulldoze a nice looking house with innocent devils living in it, because they are aware of what they defiantly did. All over Accra illegal structures, illegal practices and we always seem to blame government and politicians for their incompetence. Well we deserve what we've been getting and more...

  Yours truly is no lawyer, but I even know that if the owners of the structures being demolished can provide proof that they were given permission by the appropriate STATE INSTITUTIONS, the courts would award them compensation for their destroyed properties. That will come to pass, watch this spac!!!. The ONUS would be on the State to prove that the builders did not have permission to build at those sites. Rule of law has no place for "ABONGO JUSTICE". Democracy is not pretty at times, if state institutions are corrupt, the citizen should not be made to suffer the consequences or the effects of such corrupt practices by public officials.
  
  I am not in any way saying that those structures should be left in place. All I am saying is that, if the owners can prove that they had official permission to build those structures, tearing them down without legal authority may result in damages being paid by the STATE.
  
  It is called RULE OF LAW.

  Simple if the State is not responsible for the issuance of building permits then the State must not demolished any structure with genued permit or It pays JUGEMENT DEBT.

  The reason why there was judgement debt in Ghana was both parties knew they deserved no compensation yet connived to dupe the nation. Samson and his cronies may believe there is money to be made from this tragedy hence this nonsense suggesting from him. This is a subtle way of attracting unsuspecting victims into their network of dubious legal representation to steal money from both the State and victims all in the name of judgement debts.

  Let us pause for a second. Lawyer Ayenini is only cautioning the state. He is saying the demolitions should continue but with caution. Give the owners of these buildings notice first, allow people to remove or uninstall valuables, allow people to show their legal permits, so no legal building or other property gets demolished by mistake etc. An ad hoc or haphazard demolition process may lead to more problems. People, even the demolition of these UNPLANNED buildings should be done with a PLAN. Follow a process that is fair, transparent and backed by law, and, can be defended. That is all. God bless our homeland.
