In Germany, cheques die SEVERAL years ago. Apart from small cahs payments, all other like bills, slaray, school fees, are run as Direct Debit or bank transfer The last time I saw a cheque here was in 1990 - a bounced one so ...

In Germany, cheques die SEVERAL years ago. Apart from small cahs payments, all other like bills, slaray, school fees, are run as Direct Debit or bank transfer The last time I saw a cheque here was in 1990 - a bounced one so the isuer was immediatley arrested!

On one face, it is economically useless and technologically BACKWARD to still print cheque books.
