PROSPECTIVE HOMEOWNERS MUST CHOOSE THE PLACE THEY WANT TO LIVE AND WORK AND LATER SETTLE THERE PERMANENTLY WITH THEIR FAMILIES. ALL THE MORTGAGEES SHOULD NOT OPT FOR THE CAPITAL CITIES.THE COMMUNITIES SHOULD HAVE MODERN FACILITIES WHICH WILL ENABLE THEM TO COMFORTABLY WITHOUT TRAVELING TO THE CITIES.

  Why dont you reduce the price of building equipment so people will do it. Any one who build house and reach window level must consider to pay for the land in time not demolishing, this is the way forward

  I doubt this information. Look at all our silted drains at Odaw and Korle causing flooding in Accra and you tell me govt has $1.5 billion to spend. Anyway, govt is chasing IMF $130 million loan and EU's $160 million funds too

I agree with the Minister, if Ghanaians do not work hard to build sustainable companies, foreigners will take over the country, because we are always interested in buy and sell businesses.

  Finally, someone in Mahama's Administration is reclaiming for us our true identity as Ghanaians. When we loudly protested the hoax of a Deal called STX with some Koreans, many in the NDC were on our case, citing Partisanship for the criticism of that program.
  
  The bottom of that Con scheme fell out and we all pulled back our punches. But one thing that many of us kept wondering is why the Government could offer such a lofty Guarantee to a dubious foreign Business entity to build our Houses for us, and not do the same for Local Businesses and Construction Companies.
  
  Finally, by this Article, it appears someone in the Mahama Administration has woken up from the nightmarish sell-out of the Nation to foreign Con-men, and decided to recognize that Ghanaians deserve similar offers to boost our employment and the Economy.
  
  If that Guarantee had been offered to Local Businesses two years ago when the STX hoax was hovering over our heads, much of the Housing crisis would have been solved by now, and the associated Economic activities generated by the Project might have helped to avert our borrowing from the IMF, with a much-improved Economy.
  
  The Government must realize that supporting Local Businesses to succeed offers the Country greater chance to develop than offering such support to foreign firms to only partly operate in the Country and transferring their profits abroad.
