The MP's who came up with this idea should know that the mere fact that some Universities are located in some regional capitals does not make it an established rule or law for all other varsities to be similarly located. On the question of political expediency I cannot imagine anybody saying Kumasi is an NPP stronghold so an NPP government should not send any development project there or Accra normally votes NDC so a project earmarked for Accra by an NDC government should be diverted to Kyebi. The MP's seem to be suggesting that since the Krobo area is an NDC stronghold the NDC government should not be seen to be developing the area. Instead, they (MP's) would rather have the government direct its efforts to developing their party's stronghold. What wisdom !
Someone should please whisper into the ears of those nitwits that the Krobo area is part of Ghana and deserves to be developed irrespective of the voting pattern of the good people who live there. Furthermore the MP's should be told that there are people in the Krobo area who vote for other parties as well; including their own.
