He seems to doing okay of late. Instead of you to encourage him to continue honing his leadership skills, you keep feeding him with wrong message that it is Ashanti's this, Ashanti's that. To me I see guys like you to be enemies of Nana's progress but not Ashanti's in the party. The last time I checked, most people in Western region were not Ashanti's, same as central, Brong, Volta, and even his own backyard. He almost split the votes in his own constituency. Check Kuffour's percentage in his constituency during his time and come back again.

The truth is that ever since Alan attempted his first challenge to Akufo-Addo, and Akufo-Addo suffered his first defeat at the General Elections, his camp has always blamed President Kufuor and loafed Alan to the core.

Folks seeking the truth must go back to the early days after the 2008 Elections, and also soon after the 2012 Elections, to read on Ghanaweb.com the kinds of Articles and comments Akufo-Addo supporters have been spewing out to not only tarnish the reputation of President Kufuor and Alan but insult them.

The kind of hatred Akufo-Addo's camp unleashed upon Alan and President Kufuor and others associated with them is unprecedented in our modern Political History, especially within the same Party.

I think, many folks blaming Kufuor and Alan and Anane, and others, do so because they consider Akufo-Addo as having the better chance, nationally, to win the Elections for NPP, and therefore cannot entertain any challenge to the man. These folks seem to believe that the fact that Alan chose to contest the Primaries against Akufo-Addo meant that the former was going to actively derail Akufo-Addo's Flagbearership, and therefore they have to pounce on Alan and Kufuor to blame for any difficulty in the Party.

Meanwhile, almost all the negative incidents pulling the NPP back from victory have been initiated by Akufo-Addo's camp, in one way or another.

Take for instance, the attack on the NPP HQs. Kwabena Agyapong and Afoko had every right to reshuffle their staff, especially among Officials of the Party that were not elected but appointed by the Jake led Administration. Yet, at the least sign of such reshuffle by the duo, Akufo-Addo sent his thugs to go wield machetes and guns to assault the two.

Then comes the deliberate fake Emergency Meeting Akufo-Addo made Blay organize in the absence of Kwabena Agyapong and Afoko. Certainly, the Nana's Camp did not want the two to preside over that Meeting. But the ordinary NPP folks were made to believe the left town to avoid the Meeting. And Agyapong's "I am eating fufuo in Kumasi" comment added more fuel to the complaint against him and Afoko.

Lastly, but not the exhaustive culmination of such schemes by the Akufo-Addo Camp, is the chaos that led to the death of Mr. Adams.

A deliberate scheme was hatched to undermine any efforts by the duo to organize the Party membership. I strongly believe such was the reason why the deceased Upper East NPP Chairman suddenly became aggressively antagonistic towards Agyapong and Afoko and demanded that they stopped traveling to Bolga to meet with the Party members. Meanwhile, the trip had been scheduled ahead of time including Tamale's that had just been successfully attended.

The malicious, treacherous plot against Kwabena Agyapong and Afoko did not end with the death of Adams. That most unfortunate, needless Murder offered yet further justification for Akufo-Addo's Camp to isolate and even cause the expulsion of the two from the Party.

So, let those folks blaiming Agyapong and Afoko for everything that goes wrong in NPP tell us what specific breach of the Party's Constitution the two Officials committed to deserve such acrimony?

One would only have to listen to the infantile, arrogant, mendacious rant of Kennedy Agyapong's, when he blatantly chastised Alan, President Kufuor and Mpiani on national Media, and blamed them for the Murder of Mr. Adams to acknowledge how deeply-rooted the plot to purge Alan's faction from any efforts by the Flagbearer's faction to win the next Elections.

It borders on insanity to see those Akufo-Addo minions daring to push their paranoid vituperations unto Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, as well, even claiming victimization by the Asantes in their failed attempt to get Akufo-Addo win the Presidency. They have even retrogressively extrapolated their failures to such illogical tribal undermining by the late Prempeh II and Victor Owusu.

Ironically, they conveniently forget how Akufo-Addo joined his Uncle Paa Willie to betray the PFP, and jeopardized the chance to bring Busia back into their Political fold.

These Akufo-Addo obsessed followers will always blame everyone else but himself for their difficulties in the NPP and failure to win the Elections.

Some top brass have lost their seats; fortunately the next generation From the Same constituencies have filled their places. Those who won did not migrate from elsewhere to contest and have worked tirelessly with the new leadership for success at the first round. They should cogratulated for showing maturity in making that decision for their own future.

About time we showed the world at large that the Politics in Ghana is not for one set of people.
Nana has to heed this call for Unity but it also behoves on All and Sundry to put their shoulders to the Wheel and support one another. I cannot see someone like Dr Anane being left out if major contracts are been doled out to Party faithfuls.

Lawyer To Replace Nana

THE ABUAKWA South Constituency may be having another lawyer as its Member of Parliament (MP), following the nomination of its current MP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the presidential candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

This is because one of the finest legal brains in the country, Lawyer Kwame Boateng has not only joined the race for the seat, but also positioned himself as a frontrunner.

Known among the local folks as 'Kwame Lawyer', Boateng's decision to represent the people of Abuakwa South in Parliament has been applauded by some of the party's foot-soldiers.

Speaking to DAILY GUIDE on why Kwame Lawyer is seen as the people's man, Mr. Kofi George of Asiakwa said he had been with the party through thick and thin since its formation in 1992, contending that he had been responsible for all its financial matters.

“He has bought a piece of land for the party to build a befitting constituency office. Apart from that, he volunteered to defend NPP in all legal issues in the constituency. Notable was his defense of 16 party members after the 2004 general elections,” he said.

According to him, Boateng has demonstrated his love for the people in the area by offering himself as legal advisor of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council and advising them on legal and chieftaincy matters free of charge.

Contributing, Mr. Kwame Boateng of Maase/Asafo described Kwame Lawyer as a very affable person whose contributions to the people of the area cannot be overlooked.

“He is a member of the board set up by Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panyin to see to the establishment of the first Traditional Council Tertiary Institution in Ghana, to be known as The University College of Agriculture and Environmental Studies.”

A product of the University of Ghana and Ghana Law School, Kwame Lawyer did his pupilage at Blay & Associates under the able leadership of the current First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Fredie Blay, from where he graduated to set up his own firm, K-Archy & Co.

He currently educates the public on TV3 on legal issues, the station's START Programme every Wednesday.

In pursuit of his political ambitions, Kwame Lawyer has just completed a tour of all 70 polling stations in the constituency, and has interacted with several potential delegates.

It will interest him to know that most Atlantis support Akufo Addo and will vote for him come what may.

How can you, the same person present Nana Addo as your candidate. This defies wisdom. I had a great deal of respect for you when I first met Dr. Anane in person at KNUST in Prof Owusu Sarpong's office during the year 2000 but as soon as he started with Pianim Ohene Ntow and their agents I said these are immature politicians who can't control their emotions and tongues and every respect got eroded away. The NPP can win this election if you cry baby guys stop your ghostly propaganda of dividing the party on factional lines. Remember the Matemehu party is not and has never been a factional party. It belongs to all. From Bombo to Dankwa to Barfuor and the brave lot who shed their blood and sweat to fight for the common good of Ghana. Did they ever fight for who leads or control for the leadership of the Party? Hell no. Bombo could have demanded for the first leadership slot but did he ask or take it? Let's be honest and swallow our pride and accept whoever the grass root of the party has elected to champion, lead and execute our manifesto and agenda devoid of any personal hypocracies and jealousy. We all will win and die together if we present the party as one big family now, or we should forever forget and see our selves as buried for good. Your group is wealthy enough to remain comfortable, even in opposition. This is not the same for most Ghanaians. The delegates have spoken and with all your experience, if you still cannot understand their concerns, then you have effectively retired yourself from ever leading the NPP. Remember that an Asante may be the presidential candidate one day and all that you are doing now can be replayed by those as destructive as you are to start factionalism. It did not take Kufuor alone to unite the party to win but the good will, hardwork, dedication and commitment of everyon, especially those who lost primaries to campaign for the party to win. An experienced MP will not charge a flagbearer to unite a party and win an election while himself does nthing about it. Richard Anane should tell us how he will support the party and Nana to win than to begin to tell us what Nana should do.

It is only in Ghana that such blatant vote-buying would be allowed or condoned by the Law Enforcement and the Electoral Commission as part of the Democratic system. It is worse than what folks have been blaming the USA Political Action Committees of doing. The size of monies involved are relatively bigger in the USA. But it is the way such monies are directly distributed to voters that sets the NPP's situation in a worse light.

We must acknowledge that Sir John, of all folks, among many, has claimed knowledge of and complained about that.

As an Ashanti, I find it repugnant by some of the statements coming from some sections of the Ashanti block of the NPP. I want to find out why they assume to speak implicitly on behalf of Ashanti's in the party. Akufo Addo is leader of the party. His tribe must not be factored in in the equation on his ability to to unite the party. On several platforms he has spoken of the need for us to bury our factional differences to gain power to bring real change to our nation. Our nation is in a mess and in real trouble. Unless people stop sounding the chorus of disunity, our opponents will surprise us, come 2016. Let us rally behind Akufo Addo,and support him to lead our party to victory. Some of the comments I read portrays self interest.
