I do not work at Korle Bu. I do not know any of the accused and sacked persons. I am not an NDC nor an NPP sympathizer but yet, I am highly moved to suspect that this is a willful and despicable act of revenge that is designed not only to mitigate (lessen) and absolve (clear, or free from guilt) the stark incompetence and criminal misconduct of the former Korle Bu Board Chairman Eddie Annan(?), who doubles as a major financier of that accursed party and his collaborator-in-Chief, the former disgraced CEO of that politically beleaguered hospital.

How come those two, who the workers forced govt to kick out of the hospital, have not been hauled before court for using their offices to divert vast sums of money, running into millions of GH Cedis for their personal convenience and comfort?

Due to the free-for-all mismanagement melee by govt appointed executives, Korle Bu has become a den of sophisticated thieves hiding under the cover of medical and administrative professionals to perpetrate fraud

From this accumulated booty they earn fantastic amounts of untaxed extra income. Yet nobody raises a finger in protest, for, state property is considered to be everbody's property and no one has over-riding moral or even administrative authority over anybody else to combat the overwhelming odds of frenzied looting of state property that goes on at the Korle Bu hospital.

The niggling point now is, why would some of the looters go out of their way to point accusing fingers at other presumed looters? This is what prompts my interest in this matter and makes me conclude that there is more to this matter of sacked employees than meets the eye.

Why should anyone be sympathetic towards Mahama when his government is overseeing the raping of the country? Did he become president simply to parade himself as one in his endless globe trotting? His ministers are as quiet as they know the president expects them to be when individuals in their ministries raid the coffers. In fact, the ministers themselves are doing their best to fill their pockets quietly - who will question that? As soon as they are appointed, they create businesses that take contracts directly from their relative ministries in a flagrant display of conflict of interest. If they are caught red handed having abused their office, that does not faze the leadership, that is, the presidency. Because, after all, such criminals are seen by the leadership only as tyros, as amateurs in the game of robbery in which they, the leadership, are arguably past masters.
So when people steal and are caught all we can get is: take the money from their hands if you are lucky and let them go scot free - free!! Nobody in the government will raise a finger. After all the thief may have taken only one millionth of what the person in the leadership must already have taken - and what their family members must already have done, also. Everyone is fully aware of the indemnity clause that protects them, as promulgated by Rawlings, the so-called holy man, himself. The indemnity clause is a self-defeating prophecy as far as Ghanaians are concerned.
Who will rescue Ghana in the face of this almighty indemnity clause? There seems to be no institution to arrest and prosecute. The constitution has invested so much authority in the president, but sadly he chooses to play the dead goat. What else can he do if he was raised that way?

This is just the tip of the iceberg regarding organized crime in the Health Sector.I insist one of the most corrupt organization is the Ghana Health Service.The MOH should conduct such forensic service unannounced in reported Regional and Districts hospitals under the GHS.In the GHS organized crime draining the health sector of millions of cedis is sophisticated with links to top men at headquarters who supervise and control corrupt deals.The corruption chain operating as a criminal syndicate runs right from the Destrict level through the Region to Headquarters cleverly shielded by trusted loyalists appointed as District and Regional Medical Superintendents with ties to gurus at headquarters.Management connive to divert large sums of generated revenue with more money lost through illicit procurement deals.The NHIS is ineffective in most public health institutions because of the moral hazards and corruption leading leakage of large sums in revenue.The MOH should enforce routine transfer of MDs in District and Regional hospital who stay at one place over decades with all the bad practices.The GHS is disinterested in transferring such people because they are usually the ones with strong ties with the hierarchy of the GHS paying all the homage and bribery to top men at headquarters to remain in the same position and hospital.Some MDs have been in the same hospital for over decades with all the knowledge and secrets of the said institution they have worked for decades.They purge and remove everybody they deem as a threat to their corrupt acts in conspiracy with the hierarchy of GHS.They keep loyalists who they gang up with to loot and share.They become masters of thievery because they have been there for long with knowledge of all loopholes they can exploit as management heads.They have equally corrupt but powerful people at headquarters as godfathers they induce to shield and cover them anytime their nefarious and corrupt activities come to the fore.They MOH should routinely conduct such forensic investigations particularly in hospitals under GHS.Worse things are happening in public hospitals under the GHS with massive rot under cover because top men are beneficiaries of a criminal syndicate operating in GHS who are diverting millions of Ghana cedis into private accounts at the expense of the tax payer.

They must be prosecuted and made to refund the money and face jail time or execution like in China. That will help stamp out corruption !!!!
