Hei, I like your critical reasoning about surah 18:86. In fact Quran encourages us to reason upon the verses and not just read through like we are playing. But that verse portrays the concept of 'relativity'but not detailed astrology. Example when you come out during the day, you observe as a human that the earth is fixed whiles the sun rather moves. That is why the whole world use terms like 'sun rise' and 'sun set'though the sun never set. The quran in this verse therefore seeks to descend to the level of reasoning of a layman so that he/she can appreciate the story. The world is surrounded by water; when you go far east you will perceive that the sun is rising from the water, and when you go far west you see that the sun set in water from your physical view. That is how Zularinayn also saw it. However, there are others verses about astrology for the academics to analyze.

SPLITTING OF MOON.
if you have faith in religion then you must be ready to believe what some people may call myths. Just like Jesus raising the death, like moses parting the red sea, like manna falling from heaven, like virgin giving birth without sex etc.. You may call them myths but religious fellows call them miracles of God. So it depend on which stand you wanna take. So for muslims, that event is a miracle but not everyday science.

If you lost your senses of understanding you fail the exams even though you learn so hard to had pass the exams. So you and your mona walter have to go back read Quran and make sure you understand the massage very well, and if possible see
Scolars of the Quran to explain it to your level of understanding.

Let's remember that we are going to be judged by our deeds, and it is the Godlike character that will be acceptable in the judgment going on in heaven.

Remember Your Creator in Your Youth

I wish I could portray the beauty of the Christian life. Beginning in the morning of life, controlled by the laws of nature and of God, the Christian moves steadily onward and upward, daily drawing nearer his heavenly home, where await for him a crown of life, and a new name, "which no man knoweth saving him that receiveth it." Constantly he grows in happiness, in holiness, in usefulness. The progress of each year exceeds that of the past year.

God has given the youth a ladder to climb, a ladder that reaches from earth to heaven. Above this ladder is God, and on every round fall the bright beams of his glory. He is watching those who are climbing, ready, when the grasp relaxes and the steps falter, to send help. Yes, tell it in words full of cheer, that no one who perseveringly climbs the ladder will fail of gaining an entrance into the heavenly city.

Angels of God, that ascend and descend the ladder that Jacob saw in vision, will help every soul who will to climb even to the highest heaven. They are guarding the people of God and watching how every step is taken. Those who climb the shining way will be rewarded; they will enter into the joy of their Lord.
