  Exam paper leakages are not the only evil things WAEC officials can do. In fact, they could even swap results at their main computer room. For instance, if a hard working student from a village school scores grade 1 in say English and another student from Accra scores grade 6 in the same subject, WAEC officials in most occasions could collect money from such Accra student and swap their poor grade with that of the hardworking village student.
  It will interest you to note that WAEC officials who are supervising all these rots are university graduates.

  It is this same leakages caused by officials of WAEC that prompted ACCA to stop WAEC from supervising ACCA professional exams. Currently, even though ACCA rents WAEC facilities for their exam, strict and high quality supervisions and invigilation are done by the British Council personnel. University graduates in WAEC have succeeded in disgracing Ghana internationally. What a shame.

  WAEC cannot be printing exams questions like the way newspapers are printed! There should be more automation with limited human handling of the questions so leaks could easily traced! How much do you pay those who print and handle exams questions? In these days of unscrupulous behaviour on the rise, you will find some parents ready to do anything to get their children to get 12 ones instead of assisting the kids to learn with their head. So they will dole out money to entice people handling exams questions. It is difficult to resist the temptation of receiving 5yrs salary equivalence by JUST giving out "a piece of paper" and that is what these exams handlers face.
  
  It is a failed sytem. There is need for some decentralisation or a change in the conduct of national/regional exams. Gone were the days when all UG exams questions were sent to the top for the Director of Academic Affairs to duplicate and transport to the exams centres. Since the massive leakages some time ago, now every lecturer is in-charge of printing his/her exams questions and sending them to the centres and the leakages stopped.
  By the way, can't each shs set its own entrance exams as used to be in the 70s?
  We are tired of this BECE, CSSPS and what have you that we yearly struggle with in order to get children to get secondary education.

  WAEC are major collaborators in this scandal. Mind you this not the first time, is a normal practice. The big men are aware. This practice has affected the caliber of candidates who enter our tertiary institutes. Their performances are way below average even though the entered with aggregate 6. The BNI should invade the WAEC office and seriously investigate people working in the so called strong room or those handling printing and compilation etc.
