some of the residents are rather calling for the closing of the dam explaining that they acquired their lands through legitimate means and would therefore do all they could to protect their properties.

Who permitted those people to put up the houses there in the first place? This corrupt minds of Ghanaians is the sole cause of all the problems the country is facing. It is too easy to blame only the authorities when infact the people themselves beg and bribe to be allowed to do the wrong thing. The sad part of it all is that we never learn.
