  What kind of preparation are they talking about? They had prepared enough. It is WAEC that needs time to prepare. Let us not pamper the children. What kind of trauma have they gone through? When they generally had the questions before hand and it was detected and cancelled? This would teach them to be honest. I heard the cry of a pupil who was happy with the cancellation because she did not understand why she would spend one year doing intensive preparations for the exams whilst others, courtesy the leakage, took hours to prepare. GNAT must be ashamed of itself more than WAEC because some of its members were involved. It must instantly address this issue and stop calling for extension of time. Does GNAT know the implication of the extension of time on their admission to the SHS.

  Why are we making such a big deal about this? Where is the trauma in being asked to rewrite an exam? Has anyone died? It's not the first time in the history of Ghana that WAEC exams have leaked and a simple rewrite was ordered. Of course the leakage holes must be found and plugged, otherwise what is the big deal – trauma, tragedy, distress etc?
  More time is not necessary. The students prepared for exams in SUBJECTS not PAPERS, and the same preparation should be able to handle a rewrite almost immediately. Those who bought leaked papers are the ones who didn't study -- they only memorized the leaked papers; it’s they who now want more time to prepare.

  It is unthinkable to ask jhs kids to write 5 papers in two days. Please think about the study load on them. And don't forget they may give up My goodness these are kids we are talking about. They can not be made to suffer.
