JJ Rawlings, you must know that the spirit of volunteerism is at its lowest ebb,if not dead nowadays. Only a few people will volunteer their energy and service in times of tragedies or disasters. Do you know the reasons why? I will mention just a few pertinent ones. 1) Tribalism 2) Corruption 3) Nepotism 4) Hate 5) Greediness 6) Lack of transparency, probity/integrity and accountability to people 7) Dictatorship 8) No respect for laws etc.
When you preach and practise tribalism, the effects you get are: apathy and hatred among the people; nepotism and greediness; corruption and unfairness/ winner-takes-all attitude; dictatorship by the privileged few and incompetences. JJ, when you first came to power, you had a huge support from Ghanaians which they manifested through volunteering. But what happened at the end of your reign? Tribalism,apathy, nepotism, corruption, lack of accountability, transparency, probity at their highest etc. Count how many of them have become millionaires at the expense of the masses during your regime? They have all been fooled. Why do they volunteer again?
