Let me give you a bit history.In 1948,some veteran soldiers from the first and second world wars led by Sgt.Adjetey demonstrated against the British colonial govt for better retirement package and were faced with bullets in Accra.The UGCC was accused of being the brain behind the demonstration so their Big 6 leaders were arrested and emprisoned.This punishment did not sit down well with some students and some teachers,especially from St.Augustine and Mfanstepim in Cape Coast.They also staged heavy demonstrations demanding the release of the Big 6 immediately.You can imagine what happened,the leaders were sacked from school but eventually the Big 6 were freed.At this time,Kwame Nkrumah was the General Secretary of UGCC and has spent less than a year when he returned from Britain to help the struggle for our independence.Amongst the Big 6 who were the leaders of UGCC,Kwame Nkrumah was the poorest in terms of cash but he was able to volunteered funds from his own pocket to build a new secondary school,Ghana National College for the sacked teachers,students and generation beyond.Recently,a young lady Francisca Oteng- Mensah has followed this gesture and now Oppong Nkrumah.This is a very welcome news and I am hoping many will follow.Ofcourse,they cannot put their feet into Kwame Nkrumah's shoes because he further demonstrated that he was in politics to serve humanity by refusing to collect his salaries as a Prime Minister and then as a President.This is exceptional by all standards.Thank you.

Please, please,and please,stop such promises and think of how you are going to get all on deck in your campaign to retain the seat for Npp.Francisca is betting on her three months salary annualy for Npp upkeep before winning.Such promises have kept mahama at the right footing making him a liar,unpopular. Therefore,newly parlimentary primaries winners must not tread on such a slippery path.Get the umbrella folded first before it begins to rain
