No one should go into business expecting prices to stay the same on purchased supplies/goods and or uninterrupted government subsidies on some economic drivers; doing so shows an ill-fated business from the onset. Every business operator knows of ways to pass on operational costs unto customers but smart ones do make decisions that ensure retention of customer base, growing of market shares and requisite adjustments on profits margins and expectation that will help achieve business goals.

It is about time these nickel and dime dummies pretending to be serious businessmen choose to act their age and business maturity rather than dependency on tax payer funding to see them through while they beat their chest as kings and queens of the world. Here is a typical business case study. If the gross cost of a dozen cans of Peak milk cost Gh12 cedis and the sale price is put at Gh1.35 per can does it make business sense to reduce the sale price per can to Gh1.18 to undercut the competition and have quicker turn around on inventory or do you wait it out like all others for the chance of selling those 12 cans in a year? There has always been available choices in Ghana but our ever entrenched poor business practices will stifle vibrant and dynamic economic activities; it’s has become second nature to blame government for our self made woes.
