Corruption , bad governance , incompetent contractors , nepotism of the mahamas , failure of the institutions of state to be effective in maintaining order coupled with criminal negligence is the cause of the floods. How many kilometers of sewage and drainage systems have been constructed in the last 3 decades and you have your answer right there . If you live in ignorance or negate responsibility , resign so a more competent govt can come that will truly serve interests of our people

First it was 'Global Warming' and as soon as data proved that it wasn't the case, it became Climate change.
Anybody who has done Climatology to a decent level knows that the Climate always changes from time to time depending on what the sun does. Our climate is therefore determined by the sun's activity and not by humans.
No matter what we do the climate will always change and we cannot stop it.
Rather we need to direct our energies and resources towards mitigating Climate Changes such as reforestation, pollution of our drainage system and environment.
Our great grandfathers always knew where to build and where not to due to past experiences but we the younger generation think we can build anywhere we like.What makes us think our forefathers didn't like houses near the cost or why did the American Indians avoid all that barren land in Tornado valley and chose to live where they lived.
All this 'Climate Change band wagon is something that others have created to make themselves rich at the expense of others.
There would have been little flooding if those drains had been cleared.
Stop the Climate Change crap and do your jobs properly and our citizens and taxpayers will be safe next time around.
