  The domain of the chief is not to engage in "partisan politics". In other words, a chief's leadership activities should not seek to endorse parties.
  
  The Okyenhene's statement is a comment on infrastructure-related policy. In effect, his comments seek to diffuse the politicising of road construction by recognising that this is a basic government duty to its citizens.
  
  Truly, this is what chiefs should be doing more of in Ghana: constructively criticising public policy issues.
