Ghana's Supreme Court of Judicature dates back to 1876. Current SC appointees may voluntarily retire at statutory 60 years of age or stay on until the compulsory retirement age of 70 years. Constitutionally, President Mahama cannot increase number of SC justices. There are guidelines in appointing SC justices to prevent inflated numbers.

President has started swelling the Supreme Court with favourites who will carry judgement in favour of his presidency in case the 2016 is saddled with legal dispute.
The NDC and the government have secretly started preparing for malfeasance in the upcoming election in 2016.
Small minds will be thinking we are far from National Elections so government and the ruling party are sleeping; they are working in the backroom towards 2016 elections.
I am here to raise the conciousness of Nana Akufo Addo and his advisers to sit up. I am willing and ready to join in the preparation towards the 2016 election from today.
Until it is over, it is not over; this is my believe and I am proud to say I have never lost in any challenge even as an infant.I am a fighter and there is no obstacle too big for me to take on because every blessed day is an opportunity to ask God to grant me wisdom. I have done this for more than 27 years since.

Immediately before last elections, needing money to finance the campaign the party in government ordered brand new fifty cedis notes to be issued in millions. That ended up in the pockets of party officials who doled them out to religious congregations, taxi drivers, villages and campaign staff members. Immediately after the elections Ghana went totally broke. This week similar order has been given to the Bank to fool us again and issue millions of new notes under the pretext of shoring up the cedi - an exact opposite effect if that happens. We Ghanaians are so dumb at times not to understand that more money issued would cause inflation and create more hardships for us and not save the cedi.
Justices who presided over the Electioneering dispute were hurriedly appointed by the President in preparation against possible dispute. Guess what - that gave us Atuguba and company. Today we are revisiting the same tactics. What next ? He will appoint or change Police Chiefs in areas where the NDC lost in order to create a possibility to keep ballot boxes overnight at the police stations where he has strong hands. He did this exactly around same period leading to the last general elections. Ghana, open your eyes !!!
