Mr. President, what about PBC LTD? Your cronies are destroying the company! Nothing has happened to management after declaring losses for three consecutive years! Please read editorial comments of ghanaian times, Friday, 26th June 2015, and you will appreciate the rot in the company. Workers are just waiting for NPP to win power in 2016 to redeem the company from Mr. Kojo Atta Krah and his cohorts! Perhaps you want this valuable national asset to become insolvent so it can be sold to NDC apparatchiks. GOD BLESS GHANA!

Oh! Hoo!, AL-Hajj, with all your too-known, you do not know that GCB is not a wholly-owned government bank? Note, GCB is a listed bank with over 20,000 shareholders, both institutional and individual, so how can any single shareholder be classified as wholly-owning the bank?
Note, further, that it is the indiscipline and lawlessness of the NDC that give them the bravado to even think about stepping into the appointment of GCB and SIC MDs directly and openly.
Assuming in both cases the government owns more than 50% of their issued shares, it can only indirectly control, or influence, such appointments through its control, or influence, of the composition of the respective boards of those institutions.
Al-Hajj, you need proper schooling in Good Corporate Governance. Make yourself available for education in corporate and financial affairs. Stop pretending. Too-known.

Government must take careful note that GCB Bank is NOT a government owned institution, so it is duty bound to apply the principles of good corporate governance in all decisions concerning the Bank.
I'm a shareholder of the Bank, who together with government(22% shares), SSNIT(29.8% shares) and over 20,000 other local and foreign institutions and individual shareholders, are the bona fide OWNERS of the Bank !
As a concerned shareholder and interested Finance person, I have followed the Bank's performance since I first purchased shares at about GHc 0.94p over 4 yrs ago. Today, each share is valued at GHc5.43p after having remained below Ghc1.00 since IPO and before the current CEO Simon Dornoo took over the reins of executive management of the Bank.
Many individuals and institutions at the top and very base of our economy continue to benefit from the Bank's stellar performance under the leadership of the current CEO.
I have chosen today, Republic Day 2015, to urge Mr. President to do his personal due diligence on the Bank's performance over the last 5yrs,rather than rely on advice which may not be for the general good of our beloved country and its people. The principle is simple: "If it ain't broke', why fix it "
Need I say more...Bona fide owners of GCB Bank, let your voices be heard !
Long live great performance, Long live Ghana !!!
