  BECE leaks because parents want their children to attend only a few of the over 600 secondary (high) schools in the country such as PRESEC-LEGON, Wesley Girls, Abuakwa State College, Aburi Girls, St. Roses and Achimota. They also believe that some schools cheat so they have to do something to level the playing field. Schools and parents contribute money to solve this problem compromising exams security.

  I was Anthony Karbo's mate at UDS. As president, Tony looted all the funds of UDS SRC and was put before the Wa High Court. But before the case could go far NPP came to power and Nana Addo was the AG. Nana promptly withdrew the case and that has been the end to this day.

  If you don't jail them, they will still graduate and take it into main stream politics and start stealing our money. This is where all the politicians in Ghana start learning how to steal.

  We Ghanaians start learning Corruption way too early in our Lives. From Student Unions to Graduate Associations, when we are elected to serve, we indulge in massive Corruption. How then would we not be doing it more when we happen to be up there in Government where the loots are huge?
  
  If we don't mind stealing from a little Fund, why would anyone expect us to completely keep our fingers out of a much bigger Fund, especially when our financial responsibilities have grown?
  
  Our School Officials have, also, for a long time, been cited for engaging in Corruption, especially with regards to Admissions and Managing School Bursaries.
  
  If a Student knows that he or others were admitted via the backdoor with some Authority figure's hands greased, that Student would always carry it with him into employment after School that it is okay to be corrupt, too.
  
  When we pay bribes to gain access to positions, we are most likely to justify taking some to pay ourselves back for what we gave away and more.
  
  So, I entreat our Educators and the Clergy, many of whom are closely associated with Schools, to raise the awareness of unacceptability of that practice among Heads of Schools and Students alike.
