They offered a better deal than Chelsea , which implies they want him more. With the pittance Chelsea ,a more richer club were offering ,it's clear they don't really need him for now and would send him out on loan, where as Roma sees him as their next big thing at the left back because he will easily dislodge Ashley Cole gor that position. A very smart move.

Baba have made a wrong move. AS Roma is a racist team and they dont have any good future plan for Africa players. People should check their record. Italy is not a good place for him and all his money will go under huge tax.
