Why do we keep comparing Ghana to other countries. If that is the case then we should pass same sex marriage law. Minimum wage in Ghana is not the same as UK, USA, South Africa e.t.c. Un employed Ghanaians do not get unemployed benefits but we keep comparing ourselves to UK and other countries who enjoy those benefits. After all GBC runs commercials so what do they want again? If the money is not enough for them, then they should float GBC shares to the public.
This is Ghana we will not pay any TV license fees. GBC should put all its programmes on pay TV. I have Multi-TV and GOTV decoders, I don’t need GBC channels.

The article fails to mention that in the country with the most TV sets there is NO licence fee. TV owners in the US have NEVER paid a fee to own a TV. Also, most Ghanaians simply don't pay. This tax is a joke.

Also how do you justify paying more when you have Dumsor and are providing half the services you are require to give the people (half of the time, thew lights are off so people cannot watch TV!!). Did these guys in mgt think this one through? On my part, I just don't think so.

And please, Ghana govt, think about providing better water delivery service to the populace instead of coming up with some of these redundant and ridiculous measures!!!!!

we are still significantly underfunded in electricity provision, water and health access. If we really want to move the country forward we should be mobilizing funds towards these areas instead of creating another "slush" fund for potential abuse by SoE

This so called ambassador until recently was an ordinary journalist , he should compare the types of programmes transmitted in those countries he was using as baseline with what GTV transmits here ( quality) ! The fees are simply unrealistic .

Interestingly he was able to add the modalities for sharing the money among themselves ! Ei Ghana where are we heading ?

Moreover in accra GTV alone has how many stations? They watch live matches or events while those in the north watch only play backs.
Why this discrimination? But when it comes to paying you want the second hand people to pay as much as those who enjoy most facilities. This is unfair. And I urge the authorities to take second look at this policy
