  Nduom did not change his name. He was given his name at birth by his parents and the clan leader (ebusuapanyin) in accordance with Akan culture. Usually, the "home name" is in honour of either a living elder relative (grandparent, uncle etc) or a past ancestor. That is Akan culture. Nduom chose to legalize and go by his African home name - which in any case is what his parents and all members of his clan call him by! It is utterly shameful that you are a Ghanaian who has grown up terribly ignorant of the many traditions of the land and its peoples. You are what is known as a "Kwaseampanyin" - a grown-up idiot!!! A grown-up without any wisdom or even common sense who just gets up to utter stinky crap before brushing his teeth.

  Go and ask former President of the United States, Jimmy Carter. He came in as President on the back of one of the greatest political scandals in American history, the Watergate scandal. Jimmy Carter then a Baptist pastor and a very honest politician could not and did not suit his party as president and he lost his re-election bid in 1980. So you see, a clean personal image may help, but it is not enough to catapult one into power. The political base, that is the party to which one belongs plays a major role, because you are dealing with people.
