  Look here, tell Mahama to retrieve our money from Woyome so that Ghana can invest in research to irradicate sickle cell. We spent a lot of money buying some rubbish jets from china, dont you think it could have been used to train people and purchase medicine to help the unfortunate sickle cell patients? We are just wicked people with misguided priorities. Stop calling on foreign governments everyday. What is Legon and Tech there for? Are our universities not fit for purpose?. Stop begging the rest of the world. We beg for every goddamn thing. No wonder Ghanaians import used underwear from Europe. Lets start writing our own science books, lets start writing Physics, Chemistry, Biology books. The MENSA IQ test body 2015, reported that Ghana is among the countries with the lowest IQ in the world. What does that say about us. Lets just stop begging. Meanwhile I pray for all victims of sickle cell anaemia, May the lord grant them strength to endure the pain associated with sickle cell crises. we will surely get a true leader oneday, a visionary who can take Ghana to another level.

  Once again the African is looking to the West to solve its problems. The government shouldn't be looking to the US to educate Ghanaians about this disease. The government owes it to the people to earmark money in its health care budget to treat and eradicate this disease. Dr. Ohene-Frempong is an expert on Sickle and its a step in the right direction that the Ghanaian government is tapping on his expertise in that area.
