The fundamental duty of any government in this world is to provide peace and security in a country, and for that reason, controls the security agencies including the police and the army. So it was the duty of the government, and in collaboration with the EC, to provide an environment conducive for free and fair elections devoid of any form of malpractice and criminal activity in the by-election. So the NDC government should accept responsibility for what happened at Talansi, and not try to tell Ghanaians that they are only enjoying power without any responsibility.
When a government shared AK47s, pistols, axes and matches among its thugs to maim and kill opposition leaders to ensure fully intimated, what do you think the level of pressure and intimidation was on the villagers? And when years of accumulated stolen monies from percentages secured from inflated projects, judgment debts and direct use of government money meant for ghost projects like SADA and so on are shared to entice poor gullible voters, what do you expect? Furthermore, if some NDC supporters were caught with thumb-printed ballot papers to rig the elections, how many of them slipped through undetected or allowed to pass in order to stuff the boxes with such papers in favour of the NDC candidate? Moreover, I hope you have not forgotten that they used 5billion dollars out of the budget in 2012 to buy the conscience of gullible voters and Ghanaians are being overtaxed as a result.

NDC would do anything under the sun to rig elections and remain in power, and the practice has been going on since the NDC phase one under Rawlings, who himself displayed crocodile tears as a result of the electoral violence aptly blamed on the NDC. Clearly, this is the precursor of the nature of the 2016 elections that Mr. Mahama hinted. We now know it is going be fought with AK47s, pistols, daggers, axes, matches, bribery and intimidation. And I advise our people to be more resolute in defending democracy in Ghana. Without free and fair elections, we can easily find ourselves again in a one party state like the one we suffered under Nkrumah because; Mr. Mahama is trying to derail democracy in Ghana in order to continue his mediocre rule.

Are Ghanaians who support NPP sure about this man Nana Addo ? Anyway, Talensi is a worrying factor because if the former custodian, forget about the economic situation in the country, even Greece is suffering, couldn't rally those who voted for him to vote same for victory, then there is a problem. The problem is that NDC leant their lessons well to have chosen a winning MAN in Baba to upset the scale. It's interesting but the defeat shows the discerning views of Ghanaians I.e that the worlds economy is already in dire straits and not the fault of John Mahama or NDC. GREECE IS SUFFERING, CHINA IS ON ITS BRINK,Meanwhile, China’s equity market is still in crisis. Stocks are now down 29% from their mid-June highs, prompting regulators to assemble a market-stabilization team – a group of Chinese brokers who’ve pledged to buy upwards of $20 billion worth of Chinese stocks to stem the bleeding.Clearly, China is desperate!

The country’s state-run media is of course trying its best to soothe investors’ fears, saying: “Rainbows always appear after rains.” But this train-wreck market crash is far from over.. Canada is a house of cards.The country’s economy is suffering from the prolonged slide in energy prices. What’s more, its property market is overheated and has long been propped up by China.

Let us join hands together after every stupid election to build our country, instead of the crazy politics of people who crave for power and fame. I still say John Mahama is a decent loving and caring man and if given half the chance Kuffour or Rawlins had after elections, our country would have been better, if given a quarter of the collaboration and support instead of the insults and name calling and bad labels of his government , this country would have achieved success. Let us pray for a better governance but NOT from NPP or NANA AKUFFO ADDO, but NOW. Let demands on government now or strikes stop. If John Mahama had a fraction of Kuffours GOODWILL from Ghanaians and Ghanaian workers, this country could be a haven.
