  Everybody in Ghana knows that our constitution was designed to meet Rawlings' style of leadership; a complete subordination of every branch of government and institution to the whims and caprices of the Executive represented by the "Almighty" Mr. Rawlings. I think Ghanaians deserve better.

  what money should they government sponser parties with? And even if the state funds these parties does it stop the parties from looking for or accepting extra funding from other sources? or are you saying if parties are state funded then any other source of funding for the party shall be deemed illigal and prosecutable? if not then i dont see how state funding will make these parties transparent. Because even if you give a party twice the money it needs for a particular ellection, nothing stops it from finding other sources or accepting other sources of funding both legaly and illegaly under the current laws of Ghana.
  And how are we to ensure state funding is not discriminatory? who decides which parties are funded and how are the decisions to be made? if 50 new political parties spring up for the next election year is the state expected to fund all of them?
  Lets not start something we cannot carry through especially at the expense of the already suffering Ghanaian. Simply find ways to make the current laws of the land work!

  Not until we stop our stealing habit,nobody shd dish our taxes to these kleptomaniac politicians.I'm not sure the IEA has heard that these same politicians are seriously stealing monies meant for school feeding programme?
