I don't understand why any rational, sane, and discerning Ghanaian would think someone from another Tribe in Ghana does not deserve to share in our common nationality.

The only way any Tribe could be denied its Ghanaian-ness would be through some catastrophic genocidal Civil War, or violent secession. And is that what we want?

We must understand that as much as some in Government would resort to nepotism, cronyism, grafting, discrimination and other forms of corrupt, divisive and nation-wrecking behaviors, we cannot just blame their respective whole Tribes for their malfeasance, and want the whole tribes out of the Country.

So long as we keep thinking about issues solely in terms of Tribal and ethnic interests, we would continue to face difficulties in seeking redress both via Elections and the Justice System.

But we NEED to let the Laws of the Land work as they were intended, and work harder to demand that fundamental fairness and Justice prevail for all.

We may dispute the dominance of a particular Tribe's folks in any of the Parties. But that does not make that Party a Party of that dominant Tribe members in it.

But should we just simply keep mute to let the behavior continue? I am not singling out those who insult the NPP or Akans. I am equally appalled by those who insult the NDC and other Ethnic groups when there is absolutely no reason for such insults.

So, do not get me wrong that I am holding forth for only NPP. But often it is the initiator of a current thread of such ignoble indecorous attitude on this forum that receives my chastisement. I wish I could directly reply as I did to each and every bigot that idiotically shows up here and elsewhere to expose his or her ignorance and buffoonery. But I simply cannot. So, I have to choose anyone that I can reasonably eloquently and clearly share my thoughts on.

If you and others would follow suit, and not just encourage the vengeful verbal assaults but help educate all of us in behaving civilly, and forcefully demand that such attitudes stop, we all may be better for it.

Hope, you just hit on the same theme as an Article intended yesterday. Whoever wrote that Article was so insightful that it could hardly be a mere coincidence that yet another trouble would rear its head at the heels of Akufo-Addo. I think that Article was submitted to the Ghanaweb.com by 'The Republic'.

Look at it: "Apathy grips NPP: Afoko, Agyepong loyalists fear another plot" (On Ghanaweb.com for July 15, 2015).

The Article suggested that Akufo-Addo's faction of the NPP must have set in motion yet another trouble for the NPP, and that was why he was running away to hide before it erupted. And lo and behold, here it is!!

Now, all those who have been on the case of Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong must be convinced that it hasn't always been they who have been causing trouble but most of the troubles are initiated by the Akufo-Addo's camp. It just happens that whatever the two top NPP Officials do to counter the evil plots, their reaction tends to be the more obvious action that gets more negative publicity.

The treachery lies in the belly of the Akufo-Addo faction. Period!! Folks in that camp simply can't stop trying to cut the two off from their assigned roles in the NPP. It is such a shame!!

In fact, this precise prediction of some nefarious plot against Afoko and Agyepong by Nana's faction gives cause for some serious rethinking of what really ignited the rumpus that led to the death of Mr. Adams in Bolga.

It could hardly be a coincidence that in many of the chaotic incidents in NPP that some have blamed on Afoko and Agyepong, Eddie Blay has always prominently been in the midst.

Why couldn't both Lawyers join to represent the NPP? After all, they were both supposed to seek the best interest of the Party in that case.

Meanwhile, does the NPP Constitution confer the authority to appoint Legal representation for its cases on the Chairman of the Constitutional and Legal Committee alone, or the entire Committee? And who are on the Committee? Could the General Secretary double as a member?

If Kwabena Agyepong is a member of the Committee, and Mike Oquaye also did not consult with the entire Committee before appointing a Lawyer to represent the Party, both may have faulted, and it is not only Kwabena Agyepong.

Additionally, if the General Secretary is higher in rank than the Chairman of the Constitutional Committee, he may reserve the right to make those appointments without necessarily having to seek the permission of the Committee's Chairman, or even the Committee itself. In fact, it makes more sense to expect the Chairman of the Constitutional Committee to consult or notify the General Secretary and/or the Party's Chairman of his intention to appoint such legal representation for the Party, than the other way around, even though the ideal expectation would be getting all to be kept in the know or even discuss the action before one acts upon it.

Be as it may, the reportage by this Eddie Blay's Newspaper, the Daily Guide, has been deliberately skewed to suggest that Kwabena Agyepong is blatantly usurping the Party's Constitution or rules by making that appointment, and that has been his characteristic way of functioning in that capacity of a General Secretary.

The story is yet another instance of relentless onslaught on Kwabena Agyepong and Afoko by Eddie Blay, who, ever since the very beginning, been part of the Akufo-Addo's attacking machinery that has been trying to get rid of the two top Officials of the NPP.

It is a shame that such a story would even be taken up by the Daily Guide, and told to the whole World. This is such a minor disagreement that could have been quietly resolved without the negative Publicity that the Daily Guide is quick to sell to the World. It does not help any efforts to unite the Party.

Meanwhile, did Mike Oquaye consult with the two top Officials of the NPP when he made that appointment of his? If someone were to lead in ensuring that the best interest of the NPP is sought at the Courts, it would first have to be the Chairman of the Party, then the General Secretary. If the Chairman of any subcommittee within the Party wants something done, it is only fair and proper that he or she confers with the Chairman and the General Secretary before taking that Action. At least, if that subordinate Official has the right to proceed with that action that eventually impacts the whole Party, it would be foolish to hide it from the two top Officials.

The worst scenario I gather from the story is that both Afoko and Agyepong might have also made their appointment to register their disapproval with how Mike Oquaye appointed a Lawyer to represent the Party without consulting with them.

If Mike Oquaye did so to sideline the two, he is the one that must be questioned, or pointed out as having erred.

Let's face it. It is all about the continued power-play by the Akufo-Addo inner circle to isolate both Afoko and Agyepong. So, let Eddie Blay's Daily Guide own up to its own complicity in perpetuating that idiotic suffocation of the NPP.

I cannot understand why these two wouldn't be left to do their work. If they act, some folks jump up to criticize them as doing something hanky-panky to undermine Akufo-Addo. If they don't, the same folks take to Public forums to describe them as abandoning their jobs.

We should all live up to a certain reasonable modicum of tolerance, if want to accomplish anything in an organization share membership, even if we do not like each other. But in this case, it seems certain NPP elements, who I dare believe belong to the Akufo-Addo camp, have always been thwarting the work of the two top Officials of NPP. Eddie Blay, in particular, seems to be at the center of most of the mess.

That is practically unacceptable.

As scared, NPP needs to restructure the party or run a quick national congress before 2016. The current state of the party doesn't look like they can run a Regional capital in Ghana here, not to talk of ruling the whole Nation. But they should be careful not bath anyone with Acid over there.
