When the traitors within the party were being kicked out, a certain region that kuffour has a lot of influence over wanted to keep the trouble makers. The likes of wuntomi, sir John, and the vast majority of mps from that region are sensible but there's a significant minority who are capable of escalating the guerrilla warfare which could hamper the fortunes of the npp and Ghana for that matter.
Kuffour does have the influence to ask those guys to tow the line but he rather calls for peace which is a coded message for leave the trouble makers alone for them to continue their mischief.
What is the meaning of baah achamfours recent antics? If or when trouble makers cannot be disciplined, there can't be peace. Kuffour's call for peace only have the effect of extending the war and he's too experienced not to understand the implications of his actions or if you like inaction.

On the other hand, look at the manner kwabena agyapong is constantly coming to public to wash dirty linen. Also look at what baah achamfour is doing going to a radio show telling the whole world that Yvonne Nelson was paid. I don't think that is true but even if it was don't you think it's confidential? Can you see that comment is damaging.
Question is when people are making damaging comments why shouldn't that arouse suspicion?
As for Kuffour everyone knows he does have a core support base within the party so he can no doubt be an asset. Question is, is he using that clout to support the Nana agenda. As a former leader don't you think he knows the importance of discipline? If people are misbehaving and disciplinary measures are being implemented and he doesn't support it, don't you think the problem will escalate? Do you think he's so stupid he doesn't know the effects of inaction when it comes to discipline.
It would be nice to have him on board but if he's not interested, well, so be it.

Moreover, NDC appears to be more organized and resolute in the face of serious challenges - that looks more like an angel; it boosts the confidence of discerning Ghanaians, even non-partisans. I am certainly swayed the NDC way, or at least, away from the NPP way. Ghanaians would want a change if there is any alternative to change to; as at now, there is none, let alone a better one. So, I wonder!!!!!

The current mess in NPP has its origin, at least, partly, in the behavior of Sir John, himself.

Sir John is one of the principal characters that began, much earlier on, to impose Akufo-Addo on the Party, no matter who else could have been better qualified, less contentious, less stained by past ineptitude and dubious connections and poor handling of various legal issues of high national importance than Akufo-Addo.

It is the unconscionable usurpation of his neutrality as the NPP's General Secretary, in the quest for the Party's Flagbearer that helped create the antagonism Akufo-Addo's supporters unleashed unto all other legible contestants for the Party's Presidential candidacy. Sir John and his clique made all others who expressed any desire to compete with Nana his enemies who had to be viciously attacked, way beyond the environs of decent political contests. It all became personal.

Since then, things haven't ever gotten anywhere near normal in NPP. If Sir John really means for the Party to unite, he should organize a high-level NPP delegation, featuring mainly prominent elements in Akufo-Addo's camp, to go apologize to ex-President Kufuor, Kwadwo Mpiani, Kwame Pianim, Dr. Anane, Alan Kyeremanteng, Dr. Apraku, Dr. Wireko-Brobbey, Dr. Arthur Kennedy and Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe, among others for all the grave disrespect, insults and even charges of murder that Akufo-Addo's camp have unleashed upon these folks variably.

If not, the destructive divisiveness would continue right up to the next General Elections, and cause the NPP to lose big time, despite the poor performance of the incumbent NDC Administration.

The arrogance of Akufo-Addo and his minions still lubricates almost every decision of significance in the NPP, as depicted in the blatant continued efforts by that faction to isolate Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong from issues which the Party's own Constitution requires their full presence, and even leadership, in.

Just as the Republic Newspaper reported about the fear in some Alan's supporters that yet another Akufo-Addo's sudden trip overseas could be a signal that another crisis in NPP was being brewed by Nana's cohorts, immediately after his exit last week, Eddie Blay's Daily Guide carried another round of assault on Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong.

As the Paper pointed out, Akufo-Addo seems to always choose to bolt outside the Country when he and his faction have set rolling another heinous scheme against the two top NPP Executives. This time around, it was on the choice of who ought to represent NPP in an election petition case in Suyani.

The Akufo-Addo faction, led by Mike Oquaye, under the guise of some deliberations by the Party's Legal Committee, had deliberately bypassed the two top Executives to appoint a Lawyer to represent NPP in the Court, while Afoko and Agyepong had also appointed a different Lawyer for the same role. That representation crisis played out in the Court. Luckily, the day was saved by a very intelligent Judge who suggested the two Lawyers could team up to represent the NPP, instead of fighting for who ought to be the sole Lawyer for the Party. one only had to recognize the tone of the Daily Guide's reportage and blame on Afoko and Agyepong to understand how deliberate the whole scheme might have been born to show the two in a bad light.

In view of such pesky, little but disruptive interferences in the work of Afoko and Agyepong, the NPP would soon hit the bottom in any expectation of the Public's trust. This is what Sir John needs to be promptly addressing, if he really wishes the NPP to win in 2016. Everyone seems scared to tell Akufo-Addo the truth that his continued subtle and stealth schemes to undermine Afoko and Agyepong amount to shooting himself in the foot. His faction has long claimed that the two would derail Nana's Presidential aspirations and must be stopped in their tracks. But the practical daily occurrences prove otherwise. It is Nana's own actions or inactions, as the case may be, that perpetuate the difficulty in really bringing all in NPP aboard. All the Public pronouncements of some unity re-established between the NPP factions do not seem to pan out, with the repeated schemes to undermine Afoko and Agyepong by Nana's faction.

If Sir John is humbled now, he should immediately infect Nana with the same humility, or just stay mute to wait for the worst.
