It hasn't been presented in a bad light at alHe could be a friend of yours, an admirer, whatever. Yet none of those can take away the fact that his own hot-tempered, violent, aggressive, belligerent, unforgiving nature account for this public lashing. One man trying to take the whole country by storm? Today we hear he's attacked an Accra radio station and vandalized property. Tomorrow we hear of an affair he has had with his own assistant pastor's wife. Another day he's on air alleging that he has cursed his assistant pastor's ward and made him go cripple. Once in the heat of their marital tango, his wife Florence who had sought 'refuge' abroad, threatened a divorce. News had it that he would commit suicide if his wife failed to come back. What kind of 'man of God' is this, eh? No wonder the Good Book has said 'And ye shall know them by their fruit'. Period! In all this I lay the blame at the doorstep of our irresponsible, unscrupulous 'talk -much-do-nothing leaders. If it was the ordinary poor man walking the streets who had been in the centre of this wahala, he would have been languishing in jail by now. We're all watching.

I really like this editorial. Some so-called 'pastors' are really misbehaving. But why not? We don't have strong institutions with noble men and women in charge to check some of these monstrous behaviours.

If we want to learn or copy from the West, then, for goodness sake, let's just go after the good and great things that have come to be associated with western civilization.
Do we have any laws in Ghana and whose responsibility is it to enforce these existing laws? If there are not enough laws in our statute books to take care of the miscreants in our midst then new laws need to be passed without any further delay. Notorious Obinnim deserves to be in jail for deviant behavior. Instead, he's relishing an undeserved surge in popularity while giving us the middle finger and daring us to catch him if we can.
Do we as a people cherish and glorify lawlessness? Is this our new norm? These questions have become necessary because lawlessness in Ghana at the moment is mind boggling. It makes you feel like we travelled 100 years back in time. Do we have any responsible leaders at all? These bizarre and deviant spectacles debase our culture and humanity and we should refuse to be defined by them . Too many people are sleeping on every job that defines us as a responsible and civilized nation. Now it's well past the time to declare a national 're-awakening day and wage an unrelenting war on lawlessness because without law and order we are doomed to destruction.
