If the entire membership of the GBA could show such poor legal judgment, how much else could we blame a layman in his failure to understand and obey the Law?

The GBA could well be further tainted as a blatant political stooge of the NPP. That is something I'd wish the Party were not associated with.

The Elections 2012 Vice Presidential Candidate of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) Nana Akosua Frimpomaa Sarpong has defrauded an investment company of an amount of GH?250,000.00.

The company; CIDAN Investment and their lawful attorney is to collaborate with the appropriate security agencies to launch “operation hunt for the property of Nana Frimpomaa,” to defray the debt.

In an interview Dr Raziel Obeng-Okon, Chief Executive Officer of CIDAN Investment explained that the operation will target both movable and unmovable property of the running mate to Dr. Michael Abu Sakara Foster, CPP Elections 2012 Presidential Candidate.

Nana Frimpomaa formerly the Dwantoahemaa of the Dormaa Traditional Area has over the past one year failed to honour a Consent Judgement by the High Court of Justice, Commercial Division, Accra on suit no BFS/488/2010 which spells out the terms for settlement.

“This terms of settlement is made 26th day of March of 2014 between CIDAN Investment and Advisory Services Limited (hereinafter called the Creditor) acting per their lawful attorney Ernest Tanor of the one party and Nana Frimpomaa for and on behalf of the Defendants herein, of Accra in the Greater Accra Region (hereinafter called the Debtor) of the other part.

“Whereas: by an agreement made between the parties, the Creditor provided financial assistance in the sum of GH?400,000.00 to the Debtor on 23 of October 2009.

“The Debtor as at date has paid GH?350,000.00 leaving a balance of GH?597,645.00 comprising an agreed interest rate of 8 per cent and a penal rate of 5 per cent to be paid to the Creditor.

“The parties have agreed that the Debtor shall pay an amount of GH?250,000.00 as a full and final payment for the said debt.

“Now therefore it is agreed: that the Debtor shall pay on or before May 26, 2014 from the date hereof the sum of GH?50,000.00 as a first tranche of their obligation to the Creditor.

“That the Debtor shall pay a sum of GH?20,000.00 per month for ten months commencing the end of 30 June 2014 to liquidate the remaining GH?200,000.00”.

The terms of settlement with the stamp and signature of the Registrar Commercial Division embossed on it was signed jointly by Lawyer Ernest Tanor on behalf of the Creditor and Nana Frimpomaa the Debtor on April 9, 2014.
