These cowards rather than deal with issues today would rather postpone things endlessly in hope that their children will solve the problem of hegemony , northern tribalism and the general Anti Akan agenda of the NDC. We also observed they have have no culture of security appointing pepeni in high offices and wondering later on how always all their plans are leaked over to their opponents so effectively neutralized , thank God the battle for freedom and justice for the Akans is still underground and not led by them . The true intellectuals and ideologists of the Akan nation can not be misled by this NDC fake opposition party. The days of this NDC are number and now the Chinese see there is a new breeze flowing they have turned their backs on them . WE all know NDC with bring political violence in the next elections which will very quickly escalate into tribal conflict as they hope to murder as many TWI and FANTI speakers as possible and secure power in the confusion but we are prepared and waiting for them .The wickedness of the evil men will never end , in fact they are so bad that God like Saul puts scales on their eyes so they can not see the righteous or cause us harm . Why should the military men who are trained remained idle and get paid and the government begged for people of "good heart" to use its own equipment and perhaps free fuel to do a public emergency works while the army corps of engineers remained in the barracks?
How would the army corps of engineers get the experience if they do not do stuff like these jobs?
When Katrina hit and the levees of New Orleans broke, it was the US corps of Engineers who got the contract to re build it.

The rehabilitation of the Adomi Bridge should have been awarded to Ghana Army Corps Of Engineers but due to kick back, a foreign company was rather sought and the rest as they say, is history.

The president's brother is a business man - a reputable one for that matter - and I am sure that was not the first time his company has been involved in the execution of a national project. Provided the company can do the work that's all needed! The fact that the owner of the company which has taken up the job is related to the president should not be a concern at all.

Good point. Personally, I do not accept that the only people in GH who can operate the equipment are E&P workers. I believe the plan was always to pass the equipment to E&P through subterfuge.

The loan amount approved by Parliament was close to a staggering 28million Euros, for the purchase of heavy duty equipment and machinery to be given to the various MMDA's, MDA's to improve on execution of work at the local government level.
Interestingly, the equipment and machinery Ghana purchased with a loan to be repaid back with interest, today as we speak, have been released to the brother of John Dramani Mahama, Ibrahim Mahama to be used for his personal and private projects, with taxpayer funds being used to fuel these equipment and machinery in the execution of these personal and private projects, running down the equipment and machinery which should have gone to the various MMDA's and MDA's, stalling the execution of work at the local government level.
How can Ghana contract a loan for equipment and machinery for local governance work and then, John Dramani Mahama will order for the equipment and machinery to be released to his brother Ibrahim Mahama for his personal and private job, whilst work at the local level stalls?
Is this how Ghana is going to be governed in this country by John Dramani Mahama and his family and friends looting brigade?
There should be outrage in this country. There should be anger in this country at this sickening and totally inappropriate abuse and bastardization of the governance structures in this country.
Just about two days ago, there was a story about the filth, rubbish and dirt which had engulfed, overrun and consumed the whole of the Central Region, filth and rubbish which this loan, approved by Parliament, for these equipment and machinery, were going to be used to help solve these sanitataion problems, but have now found their way into the hands of John Dramani Mahama's brother Ibrahim Mahama, whilst the filth and rubbish continues to pile up not just in the Central Region but in all the other regions of the country, with Ghanaian taxpayers being asked to forcibly participate in a National Sanitation exercise, when heavy duty machinery and equipment have been bought to be distributed to the MMDA's and MDA's and the waste departments of these agencies to execute such a mandate. Ghana needs to rise up against such recklessness. Ghana needs to rise up against such crassness. Ghana needs to rise up against such nonsense and demand that John Dramani Mahama's brother Ibrahim Mahama returns those equipment and machinery within the next 72 hours, for onward distribution to the various MMDA's and MDA's to facilitate their work, which was the main purpose of contracting the loan and Parliament subsequently approving it.
As citizens of this country we demand the return of the equipment and machinery held by Ibrahim Mahama within the next 72 hours. There should be anger and outrage in this country now!!!.
