We have the guys who allegedly stole Gyeeda cash going to court everyday. Is that not a good thing? Why can't we show some positive attitude for once and encolourage some of these things being done by governments. Why all the unnecessary and useless suspicion?

A different government may have botched all these court proceedings and laid the matter to rest, in support of the "theives". Unless someone thinks being prosecuted by the state is an easy ordeal to go through for many years until you are finally jailed or freed.

Where are the jails my friend? Not enough jails in Ghana. Why nobody's building jails to incarcerate growing population of criminals is plain stupidity. Don't they understand it's an investment worth its value?

The public perceives all Accountants to be chartered but that is not the case. About 95% of those who indulge in fraud and with the title 'Accountant' are NOT Chartered Accountants!

Now anybody can try your luck and steal govt money. If your luck shines and they don't catch you you sail into the sunset with your loot.

If however they catch you you can just arrange to pay it back in installments.

Even in China billionaires, top politicians and businessmen are being put in jail and executed for their crimes. In Ghana you just refund the money!Either way you win.

The blackman is not going anywhere soon.

If the prosecutors office thinks readers should be impressed with this sham of a settlement then I've got news for them. Why not hold Ghana Audit Service as a party to the fraud; they failed due diligence to audit a state institution in a timely manner thereby allowing the fraud to materialize. Each person proven to partake in the massive fraud at NSS must not only make restitution but must forfeit any property acquired during the time of the scheme and must serve a minimum of 10 years in prison. Our society cannot allow thieves and saboteurs to bring down an institution that serves the interest of graduating students with potential to be future leaders of the country. We need a shake up at the AG and department of Justice offices lest it become a massive paper tiger.
