Also the term deaf and dumb is derogatory. Describing the person as a Hearing impaired or simply deaf might be more appropriate. @Banana tree if you say thats why you dont befriend the deaf that is stigmatization and discriminitory. If you had a family member or a friend with hearing impairment you would have realized that the deaf are not stupid. Their only challenge is communication barrier with due to their hearing impairment which is not their fault. We did not choose our natural bodies or families into which we were born. In other countries there are adequate sign language interprters and other assistive technologies that facilitate communication between the hearing impaired and other persons.

Did the Deafman feel he was in in danger and under threat because he thought he was being hauled to the Police Station? -We all know how people's rights are abused and suffer in police custody.

Was the Deaf man missing?? Did he say he was lost?? Why was the police offering unwanted help by "trying" to take hime home?
