Onzy is said to be a Doctor who has practiced in Europe and else where. In medicine, oral traditions don't play important role in diagnosis and he knows that. So why doesn't he just do what his training requires - a scientific diagnosis to put to rest all these oracles and oral traditions. It is disappointing for a person of his educational status to ask a 85 year-old woman to come to his defense about the most important thing in the world- who his father is, by oral tradition and hear-say evidence. What does he think about Ghanaians? That we are such a bunch fools who will accept a very important issue like the son of our most important leader and first president just by hear say.
This is the most stupid thing I have heard in history.

This case can be solved very easily, Onzi Nkrumah should submit himself to DNA test. I met an old woman in Philadelphia who swore that she knows of Nkrumah's African-American daughter. That was her own niece and showed me some black and white pictures of Kwame Nkrumah with her sister in compromising embraces and postures.
Point is Onzi Nkrumah may very well be Nkrumah's son, the man was no saint, but a human being who loved life, women and fine things - he wasn't called showboy for nothing - Onzi can spare us the run arounds and head straight to the DNA lab, what is holding him back? He is very much not 100% sure himself, that is why he is resorting to this make-believe story by popular acclamation. His whole persona is built on this fantasy and is afraid of public humiliation if a DNA test turns out to strip him of his Nkrumah's calling card. That will also expose his late mother as a sleep-around woman. In a way if Nkrumah was his father, as he believes and says so, why in God's name did he propose to Samia to marry him?. Some nasty man. Tweaaaa!

Pregnancy No Proof of Motherhood; Woman Was Her Own Twin-and the Twin Was the Mother of Her Children
By Graham Noble on January 26,
Pregnancy not proof that Lydia Fairchild was the mother of her children
Thanks to a rare medical condition, a Washington state woman found out that pregnancy was not enough to prove motherhood; DNA testing indicated that she was, in fact, not the mother of her own children – so who was? During the course of a desperate battle to retain custody of her three children, it was discovered that her twin was the real biological parent. The twist? She, 26-year-old Lydia Fairchild, was her own twin.
By the time Fairchild was 23 years old, she had given birth to two children and was pregnant with a third. Her relationship with the father had been rocky. They separated – not for the first time – and she found herself, at 26, a struggling, single mother; out of work and unable to support her kids. When she applied for government assistance, however, her world was shattered by an incredible revelation – one that led to criminal accusations and the impending prospect of losing her children to the state.
In order to qualify for financial assistance in supporting her young family, Fairchild was required to undergo DNA testing to prove that she was the mother of children for whom she was claiming. Jamie Townsend, the father of all three children, was also required to submit to testing. Having twice been through pregnancy and childbirth and now in the middle of a third pregnancy, this test, Fairchild assumed, was merely a formality. It turned out not to be, however; In December, 2002, Fairchild was contacted by the Washington state prosecutor’s office and told to come in to discuss the test results. To her horror, the young mother was informed that she would be the subject of an investigation into possible welfare fraud as the DNA tests had revealed no genetic link between her and the children she claimed were hers.

Lydia Fairchild
Townsend’s biological link to the children had been confirmed, but the test came up with no evidence that Fairchild shared any DNA with the three children. She found herself being interrogated by Social Services; who was she? Who was the real mother of the children? Jamie Townsend was also questioned and accused of fathering the children with another woman. “I knew that I carried them, and I knew that I delivered them. There was no doubt in my mind,” Fairchild later recounted. Fairchild’s obstetrician, Dr Leonard Dreisbach, was equally stunned by the accusation against the mother. “I’ve been doing this long enough to recognize when someone is giving birth right in front of you.” he said.
The desperate mother soon found herself facing a summons and impeding legal battle to prove that she was the mother of the children to whom she had given birth and even to the one she now carried.
In another part of the country, another woman was facing a similarly bizarre situation; 52-year-old Karen Keegan, from Boston, Massachusetts, had discovered that DNA testing – carried out to find a genetic match in the search for a potential kidney donor – indicated no genetic link between her and two of her own three sons. After confirming a match between Keegan and her youngest son, her doctors sought further advice and were informed that Keegan might have a very rare genetic condition know as chimerism. Derived from the name of a strange hybrid creature, the Chimera of Greek legend, this condition had been documented just 30 times throughout the world. Those rare individuals, dubbed “Chimeras”, had started out as twins; in the early stage of pregnancy, one of the twins had merged with – been absorbed by, one could almost say – the other twin.
The cells of the consumed twin, however, did not disappear and remained alive in one concentrated area of their sibling’s body. In essence, a human chimera is one person made up of two separate sets f genetic material; they are, in fact, their own twins.
Baffled doctors conducted a number of tests on Karen Keegan but drew a blank; unable to find any genetic material in her body that matched that of her sons. Eventually, Keegan mentioned to her doctors that she once had a thyroid nodule removed. Determined to solve this medical mystery, the doctors tracked down material from the removed nodule to a medical lab in Boston. DNA extracted from the nodule matched that of her children.

Chimerism, however, was completely unknown to anyone dealing with Lydia Fairchild. Now in an advanced state of pregnancy, Fairchild found herself in court and about to lose custody of her children. The presiding judge ordered that blood samples be taken from her third child the moment Fairchild gave birth. Despite a court-appointed witness to the birth, tests on the blood samples, once again, showed no genetic link between the baby and its mother.
Fate, however, was on Lydia’s side when one of the prosecutors in her case stumbled upon an article in the New England Journal of Medicine. That article had been written by Karen Keegan’s doctors and chronicled the incredible discovery they had made. Further exploration of the mystery of Fairchild’s DNA was ordered and a genetic link between her mother and her own children was confirmed. When Fairchild later had a cervical smear, DNA from it was tested and found to match that of her children. Fairchild’s lost twin, it appeared, had lived on as cells only found in her ovaries; she was her own twin – and the twin was the biological mother of her children.
Some sixteen months later, after enduring the harrowing prospect of even pregnancy being no proof of motherhood, Lydia Fairchild found the case against her dismissed. Her attorney, Alan Tindell, reflected on the dire consequences of oversight in the testing of DNA. “People go to death row because of DNA tests,” he said, “people are released from death row because of DNA tests.” As for Karen Keegan and Lydia Fairchild – two women separated by thousands of miles but linked by a rare genetic condition – their separate, but bizarre tales, may well have inspired the medical community – and the justice system – to think again about the potential shortcomings of DNA testing.

MINNEAPOLIS — For 14 years, Isaac Owusu’s faraway boys have tugged at his heart. They sent report cards from his hometown in Ghana and painstaking letters in fledgling English while he scrimped and saved to bring them here one day.
T. C. Worley for The New York Times
Letters from boys in Ghana whom Isaac Owusu considers his. He will petition as a stepfather since tests showed three are not related to him.
So when he became an American citizen and officials suggested taking a DNA test to prove his relationship to his four sons, he embraced the notion. Imagine, he marveled as a lab technician rubbed the inside of his cheek, a tiny swab of cotton would reunite his family.
But modern-day science often unearths secrets long buried. When the DNA results landed on Isaac Owusu’s dinner table here last year, they showed that only one of the four boys — the oldest — was his biological child.
Federal officials are increasingly turning to genetic testing to verify the biological bonds between new citizens and the overseas relatives they hope to bring here, particularly those from war-torn or developing countries where identity documents can be scarce or doctored.
But while the tests often lead to joyful reunions among immigrant families, they are forcing others to confront unexpected and sometimes unbearable truths.
For Isaac Owusu, a widower, the revelation has forced him to rethink nearly everything he had taken for granted about his life and his family.
It has left him struggling to accept what was once unthinkable: that his deceased wife had long been unfaithful; that the children he loves are not his own; and that his long efforts to reunite his family in this country may have been in vain.
The State Department let his oldest son, now 23, come to the United States last fall, but said the others — a 19-year-old and 17-year-old twins — could not come because they are not biologically related to him.
Isaac Owusu, who asked that only his first and middle names be published because he would like to keep his family’s pain private, is still hoping the government will allow the teenagers to join him, arguing that he has been a devoted stepfather, if not a biological parent.
But in recent months, he says, he has simply unraveled.
“Sometime when I get in bed, I don’t sleep,” said Isaac Owusu, 51, who works for an electrical equipment distributor and an auto supply shop.
“I say to myself, ‘Why this one happen to me?’ ” he asked, his eyes wet with tears. “Oh, mighty God, why this one happen to me?”
A similar sense of shock is reverberating through other families across the country as genetic testing becomes more common. State Department and Homeland Security Department officials do not keep statistics on the number of DNA tests taken by new citizens or permanent residents, who are allowed to bring some close relatives to the United States if they can document their family ties.
But Mary K. Mount, a DNA testing expert for the A.A.B.B. — formerly known as the American Association of Blood Banks — estimates that about 75,000 of the 390,000 DNA cases that involved families in 2004 were immigration cases. Of those, she estimates, 15 percent to 20 percent do not produce a match.
Negative results can suggest an effort to bring in illegal immigrants or distant relatives, officials say, though they note that requests for DNA tests deter illicit activities. An official, who spoke anonymously because he was not authorized to discuss the cases, found no indication of wrongdoing by the families interviewed for this article.
Such genuinely unexpected results hit immigrant families particularly hard because DNA testing sometimes provides the best chance of reuniting with loved ones abroad.
“Sometimes these are complicated families,” said Tony Edson, a deputy assistant secretary of state. “People are learning things that they never knew about themselves.”
In California, for example, a Mexican-American family splintered after a DNA test showed that a young woman, a new citizen, was not related to the man she considered her father. The man, who was living in the United States, was ordered back to Mexico because his visitor’s visa had expired.
In Maryland, a man from Sierra Leone discovered that his baby back home was the product of a hidden trauma. His wife, who was separated from him during their country’s civil war, had been raped by rebels. In her shame, she had never revealed the truth.
New citizens and permanent residents are asked — not required — to take the tests if they lack documentation of ties to relatives overseas. Physicians designated by the State Department typically collect samples from relatives abroad and send them to this country for testing.
A negative result does not eliminate the possibility of reunification. New citizens can adopt children under 16 and bring them to the United States, officials say. They can also petition for stepchildren or stepparents in certain circumstances.
But immigrants say officials rarely notify them of such alternatives. Meanwhile, lawyers say the government’s growing reliance on DNA testing burdens immigrants who often pay $450 or more to test parent and child.
Officials counter that the process helps reunify families who might otherwise remain divided because they lack adequate documents. But they acknowledge that genetic testing can carry an emotional toll.
Tamara Gonzalez, a new citizen from Jamaica, said her test result has forced her to question her very identity.
She and her father, who lives in Jamaica, took the tests last year after she applied to bring him to the United States. When she learned they were not related, she confronted her mother, who said the result must be a mistake.
Mrs. Gonzalez, who works at a day care center in Brooklyn, said she would like to believe her mother. But she said her faith in her family bonds had been shaken. “It changes my sense of who I am,” said Mrs. Gonzalez, who is 31. “And it has changed things between me and my mother.”
“I wonder now if there’s something she’s hiding or not saying,” she said. “I start to wonder: Who is my father? Am I ever going to know?”
Clevy Muir, the man she knows as her father, says he is still trying to sort out their options.
“I’m not going to give up my daughter, you understand?” he said. “But where can I turn?”
Balfour Francis, a 44-year-old Jamaican-born welder in Brooklyn, had even set aside a bedroom for the teenager he considers his daughter. She was born to a woman he had never married, but he had never doubted that she was his baby girl.
Then came last year’s DNA results. Now, he said, the bedroom is used for storage while he struggles to get immigration officials to tell him what he can do next.
“I will not let anybody dictate who is my child,” said Mr. Francis, who is a permanent resident and has a wife and children in New York. “I try to assure her I am who I will always be.”
Meanwhile, Isaac Owusu cannot keep the faces of his boys in Ghana out of his mind.
They call him collect on weekends, begging him to explain why he left them behind. At night, he sees them in his dreams with those big brown eyes that everyone used to say resembled his own.
“They ask me, ‘Why? Why? Why?’ ” he said. “ ‘You come and pick up our senior brother. What about us?’ ”
He blames the bureaucracy for the delay because he cannot bear to tell the truth. They are already motherless, he said. How can he tell them they are fatherless now, too?
Over the years, while his sister cared for the boys, he has sent money for tuition and uniforms, doctors and food. He has saved their letters. (“Father, in Ghana we are in the rainy season so I need two thing,” one son wrote, “rain coat and rain boot.”) He has pored over their report cards (“Obedient and respectful,” one teacher wrote), urging them to study harder so they could succeed here.
He moved, with a new wife, from an apartment to a house to make room for them all, and became a citizen in 2002. But last year’s DNA tests dashed his hopes for a speedy reunion.
After months of inquiries, Elizabeth M. Streefland, his immigration lawyer, finally determined that he could petition for the teenagers as their stepfather. He must prove that the boys are the children of his deceased wife. Isaac Owusu hopes that a DNA test of one of his wife’s siblings, which could be compared with that of the teenagers, would provide that proof.
That will cost more money. But he says he simply cannot give up on his boys. “I tell them, ‘Daddy still loves you,’ ” he said. “ ‘Anything it takes, I will do to get you over here.’ ”

Thank you skanbone, you see it is high time the people of Ghana understands this Arabs. Our late president Dr, Nkrumah disrespected Ghanian women by first of all marrying in Egypt.
This Mrs Sinari should not think that her saying all this is going to stop some of us having doubts Osinis is the true San of Dr Nkrumah. She is nothing but a gold digger just like any other Egyptian. Her husband went to Egypt as a student in Al azhar and left without even completing elementary education there. He married her and brought her to Ghana and she gave birth to the Saudi Ambassador. Noe of her male kids has ever married to a Ghanaian woman they will always go back to Egypt and get married, Even her Grand child The Ambassador's San went to Egypt and got married to an Egyptian at the time he was an Ambassador in Egypt. The San lives here in USA.
So if this woman claim she is patriotic, she to Ghana or her native Country Egypt? Upon her husband who was originally a Moshi from Burkina Faso got married to her and brought her to Ghana, she should have navies to start advising her kids to marry in Ghana.
Yeah I know some will argue that it doesn't matter they can marry where, and who ever they choose to marry. which is 100% right i have no problem to that. But my question is that her San has been able to become Ghana ambassador to Egypt and now to Saudi Arabia. Under normally circumstances, Saeed Sinary was not in the first place suppose to represent Ghana in Egypt. And the reason is that it is his Mother's native country for that matter there was a conflict of interest right there. Secondly Saeed Sinari has no Degree or even an associate and can not speak Arabic well so why is he representing Ghana? He becoming an ambassador was done not through the right channel. So now his mother the gold digger want to impose another Egyptian on Ghanians my defending this Osinis guy.
Some may think i sound like i hate this man but that is not it. I lived in Egypt for 13 years of my life and i know what I'm talking about. Egyptian takes advantage of others and that s what exactly what this woman and her family are doing to Ghana.

Just let the man go for DNA test, even Sekou said he is not his brother, this story of an old lady who was not a witness to the fertilization of the egg that brought up this so called Nkrumah is not a DNA,if it is about these stories that prove paternity I don't think the white man will create a DNA.

What about Professor Nkrumah Nkrumah, formerly of Ghana Museums and Monuments Board, who also claims he is the son of ex-President Nkrumah. I met him in 1994, and by God he is the exact replica of the Osagyefo being totally black like him. His mother is from Aburi and we all know the Osagyefo's association with Aburi/Peduase Lodge. At that time in 1994 when I met Professor Nkrumah there was no such DNA test, but if Professor Nkrumah is still alive the time has come for him to prove his paternity and if true OSAGYEFO DR. Talk about assassinating Nkrumah's reputation again! The Sinares and Onsy have been around all these years yet only now do they see the need to make their unsubstantiated claims.
I was a child when Nkrumah was overthrown in 1966. Never did anybody claim Nkrumah had this or other child here or there. Never did the Sinares make their false claims that they introduced Fathia to Nkrumah. Everybody in Ghana in those days knew that Nkrumah's marriage to Fathia was arranged by the Egyptian President Gamal Abdul Nasser - after whom Nkrumah named his son Gamal (and not Sinare)!
Yet somehow these past years, the Sinares have fabricated the story that they "hooked up" Osagyefo to Fathia! And as if that was not enough, they now are the ones to bear testimony to the crook Onsy's con story!
It's time to stop the second assassination of Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah! Enough is enough! We went through all the Danquah-Busia mudslinging for decades. Let Nkrumah rest in Peace!!!

Who will supply the sample for the DNA?
And if you say any of Nkrumah's children, upon what basis can we be sure that they themselves are indeed Nkrumah's children? By the fact that they resemble Nkrumah or that they were born when their mother was married to Nkrumah? In the first instance, the issue becomes moot because Onzy resembles Nkrumah as closely as any of them, and if they do not need any DNA testing themselves based on resemblance, then why should Onzy? In the second instance, paternity cannot be unimpeachably established by mere marriage, even as Onzy's mother's case adequately demonstrates. She presumably married another man and gave her the pregnancy of another man. Besides, there are women and men who sleep around even while married.
Within our own culture and in the context of international law, a person's paternity could be properly established by testimony of those who know facts to that effect or even by sufficient resemblance of the subject child to the father. The former is satisfied by Mrs. Sinare's testimony and the latter by Onzy's striking resemblance to Nkrumah.
But the above notwithstanding, a person born in marriage is presumed to be the child of his father unless the fact is timely rebutted. In Onzy's case, this rebuttal was not timely made. He accepted his presumed parentage and benefitted from all its concomitant privileges, to the extent that he is alleged to have once sought Yaba Nkrumah's hand in marriage.
Under the circumstances, Onzy's claim is effectively foreclosed by his own laches. The law does not permit anyone to have two fathers, and if Onzy never terminated the parent-child relationship between him and his presumed father when he had all the time and chance in the world to do so, how can he now claim to bet the son of Nkrumah?
Therein lies the legal argument to which many people are losing sight of.

We should be talking about real Ghanaian children studying under trees and our young daughters being enslaved in slavery in our homeland. But no, we have talk some bastard son of a bastard. What shame. No wonder Ghana rates last in almost everything from education to sanitation. You know what, let's end this saga. Arabs don't have any regard for blacks and have always treated them badly. Even today with the current situation where many Iraqi, Asians and Africans are heavily seeking asylum because there is absolutely nothing for them to shout about when home, the disdain and disrespect that black people get is bad. Racism is on the increase and yet the very people who treat Africans with disdain are the very same ones who want to come and lie in bed.
It really is time we know who our friends are. People should really engage more. Anyone can research Kwame Nkrumah history. At this time, Onzy could well be a stooge. The North African Arabs don't consider themselves African anyway. You have only got to go as far as Libya for example where they will happily drown African migrants. Who are our real friends? You can exclude Russia also. Just as South Africa who had so many people and nations stand up for them, now they have the fucking balls to attack other brothers and sisters, the same applies to Russians who after being impacted by their own neighbours, choose to do nothing when Africans are beaten up and their police do nothing.
