Go and see how Prez Mahama of Ghana has transformed Gonjaland with Ghana money just within the two and half years that he has been in power. Every town, village and hamlet in Gonjaland has received a facelift with new facilities such as roads, toilet facilities, markets, mosques, good quality water projects, electricity extension projects, etc. The question is did J. J. Rawlings do the same thing to Voltarians when he was in power for twenty years? What about Atta Mills. The good old Prof was in power for three and a half years yet he was not selfish to only concentrate on his people in Ekumfi Etuam and the central Region but rather his whole thought was for the general good. No wonder under the care of Prez Mills, Ghana achieved a growth rate of 11%, single digit inflation and the smooth implementation of the Single Spine Pay Policy where newly recruited police personnel received the nominal equivalence of 500dollars as monthly salary. Compare these achievements to the nepotism and selfish policies of the Mahama government that has crippled the Ghanaian economy. I really weep for Ewes and Fantis whose votes brought Mahama to power and yet are the hardest hit by the current hardship prevailing in the country.

No one deserves suffering! Dr. Acquah. How is the Dr. different from any other in the society as regards suffering? Economics 101; revise your economics and do not forget, division of labor. Each is important. How can your "service" be of any value if all pharmacists strike too? How can your service be of any value if all nurses strike? How can you go on if all the Administrators go on strike? How can you continue if all the IT folks go on strike and how can you continue if all the Electricians go on strike?

Just reason and start thinking and do not get so emotional my dear Dr. Acquah.

Now a word of advice to all of you smart ones, do not start working for someone if you have not read your conditions of service. If there is none when you start your job, then you will need to negotiate in good faith and not by threatening your employer.

However, in demanding for the appreciable or call it better condions of service, we all need to be circumspect of the financial and the economic implications which these demands would bring not only to the government of the day but for the country as a whole. Politically coloured demands just to put the government in bad light and to agitate disaffection for government is unacceptable! Because elections, in Ghana today, any labour union could stand up and begin to agitate for this or that mostly through the application intimidation. This is bad and must be condemned in no an unbiguous term! Our health workers deserve to be treated well but they realise the, their styles of demanding the so called better conditions of services they render are for Ghanaians like them and not for Mr Government! The ordinary Ghanaian would rather turn against them not government.All decerning Ghanaians are critically reading through the lines.
