GHANA IS SADDLED WITH A WHOPPING OVER 275 NON-PERFORMING MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT AND PRESIDENTIAL APPOINTEES, ALL PAID GARGANTUAN MONTHLY SALARIES AND MANY ALLOWANCES BY THE TREASURY FOR NO WORK DONE IN RETURN, AND LOOTING GHANA ON TOP, AND THIS DUMB DOES NOT SEEM TO KNOW THE MAIN CAUSES OF GOVERNMENT'S NEGATIVE CASHFLOW AND BUDGET DEFICITS OVER THE YEARS?

THAT'S WHY I'D ALWAYS MAINTAIN THAT GHANAIAN LEADERS PERFORM AS IF THEY'VE NEVER SAT IN A CLASSROOM.

I believe that his statement simply emanates from a desire to protect the glamorous life-style which he enjoys as a parliamentarian at our expense and our disadvantage.

More than the bad governance and the daft loose-canons like Kennedy Agyapong, the root cause of what is really destroying this country is the crass simplicity of mind of some of you ordinary citizens. It is that same awful simplicity of mind that encourages many Ghanaians to vote for the useless likes of the NDC and the NPP to continue destroying the country.

All this is happening because, the NPP realizes, its push in the negotiation is turning out a FAILURE. However, Ghana shall never abandoned the DOCTORS causes, but shall fix the misleading advises given to the DOCTORS during its negotiations.
We are witnessing the FAILURES of the NPP and it shall never see the light in any political argument, thus sliding from the legal opposition to number three(3) slot.

I keep saying government should not meet even 1/8 of what these doctors are demanding,they want to destroy the country with their demands,no where in the civilized world that doctors are given free fuel every month,even the wealthy countries don't throw their money away like that on doctors.

Government should stop putting these doctors on its payroll,they should be made to apply to the hospitals and employed based on conditions that hospital gives them and if they like it they work as they do when the apply to private hospitals,don't give them automatic employment after their service,enough of their intimidating tactics making demands like they don't have their heads working.

That should be the condition. Look at this doctors punishing the same tax payers who funded their school. Like some one rightly put it, NPP will be a fool to condone this because it will come to bite them. All these workers high demands will need to be continued by the next government. 1, how much do u think a dr in gh earns
2. Di u even know what bar pay the suggested allowances are going to be calculated from?
3. Do u know who pays for accommodation for the dr, their medical bills etc? It is the dr. We pay for everything. Even from the little left in our pockets, we even have to pay bills for some of the very patients who are insulting us now.
Do u know the entertainment allowance alone of one minister is almost the pay of 2 jnr doctors and their monthly salaries is almost what I earn as a dr for working for a whole year?

Those who are complaining and insulting doctors today simply because the politician has told them the doctors are demanding too much, I believe, do not even Know what our politicians take, vis-a-vis what our hard working doctors take but sheepishly are buying into what the politicians who are fleecing this country are telling us.
The politicians and a few self-made rich men can afford medical services here and abroad should the Doctors resign en-mass from working for the state. Can we the poor ones, who sadly are today insulting the doctors for asking what is their due afford their services when they go into private practice? Poor Ghanaians should wizen up and stop allowing ourselves from buying into the propaganda of the politician to the extent of proverbially biting the hand that feeds us.
Our President's categorical statement to the doctors of not being in the position to accede which to all intent and purposes is to satisfy the IMF and her conditionals for lending us money is unfortunate and enough proof of the abysmal failure of the President and his economic team in the management of the economy rich resources of this economy over only about 27 million people!!!

Your level of stupidity can only be found among the ranks of the NDC party. If perhaps you can bring yourself round to begin to think, you will realize that this is a confrontation that the govt cannot ever win and the sooner they begin to conduct themselves respectfully and humbly like all sensible govts do everywhere, the better it will be for them in the end.

Firstly the govt has acted in its typical irresponsible manner by not reacting to their own mutual agreement to discuss and finalize negotiations with the doctors for over a year. This govt in particular behaves as if it is a colonial govt ruling some stupid 'native subjects' who are all as dumb as you Corney are. Who in the world employs doctors - or for that matter, anybody and fails to pay them for a year? How can any reasonable - or even the most stupid person justify this?

Members of this most useless govt ever, take more remuneration and perks than the "outrageous" 'proposals' that you claim the doctors are "demanding". So I ask you, is that also fair or right? And in what civilized country are dumb politicians given free fuel? What a damned fool you are.

He honestly realises that this is not a matter for party partisanship or a political football to point fingers at anybody. He has been made a constructive assessment of the doctors demand and he is absolutely right to say that no government can honour or meet the doctors their astronomical demands. Every worker is equally important. Are the doctors saying that their primary school teachers who taught them to read and right and their lectures who teach them and training them to be doctors are less entitled to an astronomical demands. What an unrealistic and unintelligent! Sorry, the doctors can not hold the Nation at ransom. Next time when the bin collectors, the technicians, their lectures/trainers and the market women all go on strike then they would come to their senses that after all we all contribute to the advancement of our Nation, Ghana. Doctors by their profession should show mercy and should march their demands against all other professions. Doctors have been well served by society for education and other societal benefits they derive just because of their profession unlike other professions. Hence doctors should be cautious and circumspect in the way they handle society in general. They can as well resign if they choose and sell their services to the society by economic supply and demand. They should be magnanimous and help the people instead of relying on their comparative advantage in society and plain old selfishness. To this end I agree to Kennedy that their demands are too outrageous fo the government and the economy to bear.

Fair Wages and Salary Commission should be the appropriate institution to negotiate not any ministry because they may lack the negotiating skills. This even manifested when doctors proposal was leaked to the public. In negotiations, any information from either party can only be released to a third party unless there is written consent from the party that provided the information. Secondly, government should be honest to doctors and avoid demonising them.

And all the people commenting on his statement are making the same mistake by using the word demand in place of proposal. Are the two words same? As far as I know, Doctors have not demanded anything. They only proposed figures to kick start a negotiation. The heading of the document reads "Proposal for Negotiation dated 29th June 2015" The 1st paragragh reads "The GMA presents this proposal to the commission to kick start the negotiation of our condition of service with the government" Should anyone have the document with a caption different from this, he\she should also publish it. We cant always b auguing like literate uneducated people. The person who 1st pablished the document mischieviously left the caption and 1st paragraph to mislead the general public. Wake up fellow Ghanaians.

How can you not pay some teachers and doctors for almost a year and expect them to continue working? Even if they return to work, what kind of service do you think they will provide? This must be a wake up call for the gov. to sit up and focus on strategies to reduce corruption, find new ways to widen the tax net to include churches, shrines, prayer camps, personalities etc. every one must pay tax because these services do not come cheap. Better working conditions for teachers and doctors mean better service for us and our children.

It is not enough to say that their demands are unrealistic without offering your own proposals. So far what we are hearing from the government side is that the doctors demands are unrealistic, but that is not enough. If you want to buy an item from the owner, he give you the cost of it, it is up to you to bargain to get a good deal. This is what the government should do.

Smart Kennedy had outwised the NPP poliical party body as a whole with his wise and intelligence stand, which every rational citizen of Ghana without political and tribal bigotry will find it a welcoming point of great wisdom since no political party in govt in Ghana can honour.

It had been a village oriented move always by the NPP to take foolish stand as long as they are not in power. Even when there is a situation that ought to be handled with national coperation they will never be around. This evil spirited mindedness.

This behaviour of the NPP had been the typical Ashanti village mentality of selfishness, wicked and destructive character of the mentality called '' Let them carry it alone''a move that never put a nation in forward line.

I always state that Solomon Nkansah of NDC said it right when he stated that there is nothing good that come out of Ashanti region. This comments come out right because of the one sided nature of the Ashantis in every situation be it national or regional.

It is a good idea for the govt to let these so-called "doctors" resign en masse! If the truth be told, almost 99% of current doctors in Ghana are good for one thing: Killing patients due to incompetence!

These doctors are generally a lazy bunch who refuse to improve their medical knowledge even though advances in medicine from all over the world can be reached by anybody with access to the Internet. They continue to use the excuses of lack of equipment even for basic diseases like diabetes that can and should be properly managed with resources locally available. Instead these people have set up clinics, charging patients exorbitant prices, and partaking in money making procedures. In Ghana, the Hippocratic oath means nothing to these state-funded state-educated "hippocrates".

Ghanaians should rest assured that about 99% of the current doctors beyond houseman-ship in Ghana have nowhere to go because compared to their peers anywhere, they don't measure up! If they were any good and could make it anywhere, they would have gone like the rest of their classmates. They are simply "James Bonds" - they have licenses to kill, and don't have to answer to anybody! It is about time these hippocrates begin to understand that they are no better than any other citizen!

Our lives is what some will gamble to get what they want. I see their acts as insensitive and selfish. Everyone is fighting for what more they can get from the state without thinking about what they can do for the betterment of this country. There is massive unemployment, and the very few employed want all the resource of the nation be given to them. Why do people want to work in the government sector? Why is the government sector the least productive? It's only government workers who more time to do other partime jobs? Why do public doctors and lecturers demand more always from state and not from the other private and partime jobs they also do? What about the distance education, sandwich programmes among others they organise at the expense of state facilities yet all the huge money they get through that is regarded their private initiatives. Let's wise up guys. The rich wants to be richer at all cost, because I have never seen a poor doctor or lecturer. Ghana's resources is for all of us, both the poor and the rich. Nobody deserves it more than the other.
