Mr. Mahama and the NDC are not interested in priorities that would ease the suffering of Ghanaians; they are interested in prestigious signature projects for the enjoyment of few ruling elites , regardless of whether the inflated projects are priorities and value for money or not. Does the NDC government think, despite the massive corruption, they can borrow recklessly and spend their way foolishly into another mandate in 2016, when the nation is over burdened with HIPC and workers wallowing in hunger and over taxed?
Governance under the NDC government is about deceit and 'opium of the people'; they enjoy everything here on earth but ask us to wait for our basic needs in heaven. And as they ask us to tighten our belts for future betterment, they've already loosened theirs for immediate consumption. They didn't even respect our intelligence when they said we should wait for a paradise in three more years. The truth is that, everything they promise is a mirage and we will never find comfort under them because; they are con-men with con plans.

Please, everyone should put their partisan interests aside and speak against these doctors trying to hold the country to a ransom.

Take a look at what Ghanaian doctors are demanding, besides their salaries.

40% of basic salaries as accommodation allowance per month.

20% as core duty facilitation allowance per month.

30% clothing allowance per month.

20% maintenance allowance per month.

20% utility allowance per month.

50% as professional allowance per month.

25% special risk allowance per month.

and vehicle tax exemption every month.

Even in a developed country like the UK, it is a struggle to be given 1% pay rise, so why are Ghanaian doctor's demanding these huge allowances? And for haven sake, why won't the Ghana government abolish all these allowances and make everyone's salary one lump some?

A president who was member of Parliament from 2006 became a deputy minister and a substantive Minister, a member of ECOWAS Parliament, vice President and now a President why can't we Ghanaians give him a respect. How could a young man of his age Atik Mohammed talk like excuse me to say he was brought up from a street . As an Akan and of course from Nkoranza on the Brong Ahafo Region in Ghana, I was taught both from parents and teachers that we should always give respect to our elders.
Atik my question to you is what is the difference between payment of what has been described as outrageous demands by Drs from both Ruling Party and Opposition Parties?. Do you want us to believe that there is nothing wrong with the demands if it is next year 2016???? Oh My God. If the Drs. are really people who are honest why strike when their salaries are being paid for. it is unfortunate that Ghana a country for all of us some sections of us will behave this way. God help our homeland Ghana.
