The only option for them is to head towards Parliament to meet their NPP members, who fortunately are ranking members on health issues; since it is the NPP who is sponsoring the strike, in order to save face and make a 98 degree u-turn. In fact, while scientists and stakeholders are collaborating to solve life threatening problems for better living conditions in other countries, we are doing things as if we appreciate our problems so much. Why are the doctors going to parliament? To snub the government? Looking for a face-saving way out of the mess they have created? Why parliament? There is a labour dispute settlement mechanism in the country, and that is where this unconscionable strike action by the doctors should go to. It is not a matter or role for parliament – we are gradually cheapening Parliament. What parliament should be doing is legislate the treasonous doctors back to work, not bring them to the house to massage their colossal egos. Shame on them! At the end of the day they don’t create life, they only treat life; and that makes them workers like any other workers – teachers, nurses, cocoa farmers, sanitation workers. To whom much is given, much is expected. Ingrates!

I wonder why parliamentarians would want to meet up with the doctors.In develop countries you are paid by the association that called for a strike.they must not be paid salary for the period they did not work

The point i want to make is dose any of this politician goes to the governments hospitals any way? so they don't care about the conditions at the hospital and the people that works there.
The other side of my story is, if this professional a treated like that in their own country will they not look else where to find a better job in countries like south Africa the us the Britain where they can be appreciated.
Take a good look at parliament the allowance they get the house they stay in. they live like kings while doctors who saves don't even have car, petrol or even house allowance.
Please Mr President don't mislead us what is you job as a civil servant of the Ghana at least meet them half way to balance the equation. take a pay cut you and the people in government to meet the need of this poor doctors becuse they contribute to the country more than you Amen
