Mr. Mahama and the NDC are not interested in priorities that would ease the suffering of Ghanaians; they are interested in prestigious signature projects for the enjoyment of few ruling elites , regardless of whether the inflated projects are priorities and value for money or not. Does the NDC government think, despite the massive corruption, they can borrow recklessly and spend their way foolishly into another mandate in 2016, when the nation is over burdened with HIPC and workers wallowing in hunger and over taxed?
Governance under the NDC government is about deceit and 'opium of the people'; they enjoy everything here on earth but ask us to wait for our basic needs in heaven. And as they ask us to tighten our belts for future betterment, they've already loosened theirs for immediate consumption. They didn't even respect our intelligence when they said we should wait for a paradise in three more years. The truth is that, everything they promise is a mirage and we will never find comfort under them because; they are con-men with con plans.

It is good we are all looking at the various causes of the failure or non functioning of the state , we say its a failed state because it does not benefit the people in any way. The compromises made in the constitution totally erased any true obligation for public officials /civil servants to work for the welfare of the people . Rather they created privileged , untouchable , can do no wrong , non accountable groups that like vampires suck the people dry . We now have whole groups that are practically above the law . Laws are meant to oppress all those who are unlucky enough to have their tribe , ethnic group or relatives not affiliated to the ruling tribe or elite. We have developed a system of governance worse than than the Indian castes or monarchy of the middle ages as no development can ever succeed that doesn't tap all the potential of the whole nation. Whole groups based on ethnic backgrounds are excluded this was started by Achampong who appointed his Ashantis , continued by JJ who had a preference for Ewes and now Mahama who only trusts his relatives and northerners . In all fairness the we can not blame the ordinary northerners and ewes who have taken advantage of this mess did so because the bogus constitution allows it. This constitution encourages elitism ,nepotism, ethnocentrism , hegemony and a privileged corrupt class of civil servants . There is no partisan politics only tribal affiliations which facilitate enmity . There can never be national unity so we Akans opt to secede since we now have the numbers and population to create a sustainable state . In the late 40's and 50's the population of Ghana was around 5 million today just the Fanti speakers of the western and central regions are more than 5 million which is more than enough to create a new state , Africa can only unite , develop and be free when these imperialistic colonial borders are broken. We all know the political arena is polarized based on ethnic divides rather than political ideology and all sides have deeply dug their trenches and can not afford to loose which is a ripe situation for political violence which will lead to ethnic war . Any war started on this principle if it lasts longer than a month will automatically lead to the break down and secession of the various nations or tribes as the white man would classify. Let us not focus our energies on the hatrad of our enemies rather diligently prepare to create our own nation out of this mess. The blue print for creation of new nations and the obligations are in the Bible and a any nation ignoring this requirement given by God will suffer. God gives you a language and territory its up to you to fight with blood for freedom , long live the republic of Akan

When will NPP stop misleading Ghanaians with their lies, if Nigeria the largest economy in Africa has a total external debt stock of $10 Billion Dollars, what is Ghanaian small economy doing with $95 Billion Dollars if not just NPP propaganda to mislead the people. Very unfortunate for NPP the NDC have covered virtually on developmental grounds therefore, what is left for NPP is to mislead the people in a belief it will lead them to victory. NPP is trapped in a politicts of deception and self deceit that Nana Akuffo Addo is a President in-waiting. Hope NPP overcome their frustrations soon and face up to reality that victory for them is far beyond 2016.

ARE THESE PEOPLE GOING TO USE STATE SECURITY AT THIS CHURCH AT TAXPAYERS' EXPENSE EVEN AFTER 2016 ELECTIONS WHEN THEY ARE LIKELY TO BE KICKED OUT OF THE FLAGSTAFF HOUSE?
GHANA LEADERS SHOULD ALWAYS REMEMBER THEY'LL ALWAYS BE "AFRAID OF THEIR SHADOWS" AS LONG AS THEY CONTINUE TO LOOT THE NATION LEFT, RIGHT AND CENTRE, MAKING GHANAIANS TOIL IN THE PROCESS.
THERE ARE CERTAIN COUNTRIES WHERE THE LEADERS MIX FREELY WITH EVERYBODY WITHOUT SECURITY GUARDS BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY ARE CLEAN SO THEY HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR.
SHEIKH MOHAMMED AL MAKTOUM OF DUBAI IS ONE OF SUCH LEADERS.
THE SHEIKH FREELY GOES ANYWHERE ANYTIME ALONE BECAUSE HE KNOWS HIS COUNTRYMEN & WOMEN DEEPLY APPRECIATE THE MASSIVE TRANSFORMATION OF DUBAI AND THE IMPROVEMENT OF THEIR LIVING STANDARDS UNDER HIS (SHEIK'S) LEADERSHIP.
THE SAME CANNOT BE SAID OF THE VAST MAJORITY AFRICA'S CORRUPT AND CALLOUS LEADERS.

There is a lot of wisdom in taking external loans to finance development projects. There are some infrastructural projects like roads and energy generators which must not be delayed because they are so crucial to economic development. Practically, there is hardly any country on this earth that does not have any external debts to pay. For instance the "almighty" US is the leading indebted country on earth with a total external debt of nearly 20 trillion dollars which is more than 100% of their GDP. Even China, the 6th heavily indebted country on earth, has a debt of more than 3 trillion dollars hanging on its head. A country is not like an individual of limited lifespan. There is nothing wrong for a country to take loan once the loan is used for viable projects and of course, entities that give this loan do so because of the prospects they see.
Just look at our economy: almost all of our national revenue goes into salaries of government employees. How are we going to construct roads, build hospitals and schools, have pipe-borne water for all, expand energy/power capacity etc without loans? The alternative to going for loans is, to let our development wait 40, 50, or 100 or more years when we, maybe, can have enough surplus revenue to undertake these development projects. The foolishness of this alternative is that, once vital infrastructural projects are lacking, revenue generation will also suffer.
The other side of external debts which is hardly spoken of is that loans taken today are not due for payment immediately but after several years eg, 25 years. That is why it is even a good practice to take loan to service your loans/debts that are due for payment now. It is like a game for smart people.

Mr Know-it-all, let me make it clear to you that, countries don't go for mortgage loans. Particularly for developing countries like Ghana, they either go for commercial or concessionary loans. Concessionary loans are loans offered at favourable terms with lower interest rates and longer repayment periods than standard commercial loans. Most of Ghana's loans are concessionary loans and some of these loans have a very long repayment time as I said earlier.
In a debate or discussion, it is not a civilized culture to describe those you disagree with as idiots. When you refer to someone as an idiot, that surely does not make the person an idiot; it only indicates how unncivilized you yourself are. I hope you will grow.
