That would have hurt the Doctors most. At this point, I am glad they are not resigning but have chosen to deliberate yet another line of action. I hope that would be more effective in drawing a reasonable compromise and end the impasse soon.

The deaths of innocent victims of this strike would leave blood stains on the otherwise snowy white coats of these Doctors forever, long after Mahama's Administration cease to exist.

There's no need for GMA to stop this greed because they've got backing from a political establishment that promises to make Ghana ungovernable for as long as they are relegated to the minority in parliament.

Yes doctors make money and lots of it in industrialized nations but doctors in those nations do earn their salaries or wages relative to prevailing wage. They do not get assistance with housing, clothing, on utility bills or with mileage and they certainly do not go on strike because of perceived salary gap between their profession and others such as lawmakers. The sad truth is that GMA members are chicken shit. If members knew anything about supply and demand they would know they stand to lose. What do they think would happen ifor its members went into private practice? Does it look like they can all afford to open up private shops? And how well off do they think their clients are going to be that is not true currently? How well off do they think each private practice is going to be? In the civilized industrialized western world we so cynically use as a ploy to extract pounds of flesh from the Ghanaian public governments do not hesitate to use laws on the books to disband unions especially if they feed at the government table. Ask Patco, the Air controllers union, what happened to them under the late President of the USA, Ronald Reagan. People cannot claim to love Ghana only when they're in the majority party and sabotage government and welfare of all citizens when they're in the minority; it's called hatred and the NPP and civil organizations bought and sold closet members of the NPP should know their gig is up.

Even the package they presented to Government as their demands alone shows that some bolts have gone loose in their heads. This explains why any one who disagrees with them is seen by them as having insulted them- and they rain insults on their critics.
If you genuinely want to dialogue, you don't demand the moon.Over 200% of basic salary for allowances plus 100 gallons of petrol a month plus 200 additional hours extra duty allowance plus overseas medical care etc ... oo ho.
How did doctors look on for them to be misled like this?
